Alana Jones
A few weeks went by and by that time Kay and The kids and I had flown back to Atlanta. We wouldn't be here long before the trial started but we enjoy it more than New York. Much less dangerous.
I was sitting in my glam chair in the closet getting my hair and makeup done when my two teenagers walked into my room.
"MA" I heard Kai yelling.
I sighed, "I'm in my closet" I yelled as a response.
They walked in and smiled at me, my smile dropped knowing they wanted something from me that their father already said no too. "What" I asked.
"Oh nothing you look pretty where are you going" Miri asked me
"I have a shoot with Fenty today and a glam shoot with Ari later so I'll be working today" I told them.
They both nodded, "oh okay I love TT Ari she so funny" Kai added and I just stared at him.
"What the hell yall want" I asked annoyed.
They both sighed, "can we throw our graduation party here" Kai asked
I mugged them, why would I not throw my kids their own parties here at the house? Are they okay! "Duh your family is having a party here"
"No mom like.. for our graduation class.. like THE graduation party" Miri helped me better understand their request.
"You ask your father" I asked them, "this is his home just as much as it is mine and I got shit in here that I don't want touched or destroyed" I told them both.
They nodded, "we asked him and he said to ask you" Kai lied right through his teeth. I sighed and grabbed my Phone calling my husband who was only downstairs.
"Hey ma what's goin on" he answered.
"Your kids want to throw a party here" I notified
He smacked his lips, "man hell no, I dead just told them that shit 10 minutes ago when they asked me." He told me. I looked at my kids.
It's not uncommon or shocking to me that my kids lie. Their father is like the king of it. But I do think they going to stop lying to me!
"Well I think we can rent them like a warehouse and let them organize a party" I tried to get him to at least allow the party.
"Man we got too much going on to be thinking about a party anyways, just graduate" he said on the other end of the phone.
"Dad please! It's our senior year and we the most popular kids and we never threw a legendary house party bro this is Atlanta! That's what they known for" Kai tried to butter him up.
I rolled my eyes. Kai don't know a damn thing about Atlanta okay! He knows nothing. That boy just wanna freak on some girl.
"Not in my house, rent a house" he said before hanging up. I looked at my kids
"You can rent a house.. but you are responsible for everything, ya 18 now so you handle it. Miri you can use your company card" I said then reminded myself that she's an adult and she probably has been making her own money.
"Okay mom" she replied and they both scurried out.
After handling family matters, I got a car over to my fenty shoot. Ri is not usually at the shoots these days, she's more behind the scene editing and approving now.
Though the fenty shoot was long and tiring, I was still energized to see my Best friend Ari today. She's doing a skin care line with mothers and she invited me.
