🧣 "And I'm highly suspicious that everyone who sees you wants you" 🧣

Taehyung's apartment is warm. Not just the temperature but the feeling. The apartment gives Jungkook a warmth he hasn't felt in awhile. Is it.. safety? Comfort? He doesn't know. All he knows is that he wants to cuddle up to Taehyung and forget this ever happened. They may have had their first official date last night but Jungkook already feels his warmth. And he craves warmth.

Taehyung showed him to the couch and went off to make him a hot chocolate. He brought it out in a purple mug (which he learned is his favorite color at one of their casual run-ins) and set it on the coffee table. He sets his own down too before grabbing a fuzzy blanket for Jungkook and sitting next to him.

"Where is Yeontan?" Jungkook asks quietly. He is still overwhelmed by everything but he is slowly starting to feel better. Tae opens the blanket and wraps it around Jungkook's shoulders. "That is actually why I was talking to Jimin. Do you want to talk about it or do you wanna calm down a little bit more? You are still shaking a bit." Tae says calmly.

'Dammit why is he so thoughtful?' Jungkook is so down bad. "Can I have a minute?" Jungkook lets out in a whisper. Tae replies with an 'of course' and puts a hand on his back. Jungkook leans over and puts his head on Tae's shoulder. He can smell his perfume.

'Strawberries.' Jungkook knows that those are his favorite fruit. He has grown to like anything strawberry scented because it reminds him of Tae. It calms him. He takes a few deep breaths before letting out a tiny "Okay."

Tae starts caressing his back and puts his other hand on Jungkook's leg to comfort him further. "Jimin has been my best friend since we were 5. We grew up as neighbors and school friends and eventually carried that into our college years. Now we are both 23 and are closer than ever." Tae starts.

"Over the past week, Yeontan has gotten sick. He was having issues eating and sometimes breathing so I had to take him to the vet.  Turns out he has a heart issue that needs surgery as soon as possible. I was worried sick about him when he went in and I called Jimin to meet me at the park this morning so I can talk to someone and get some fresh air."

"Thankfully Tannie pulled through and it seems like he will be okay. I held him so close to my heart that I couldn't bear anything happening to him. Jimin knows how much he means to me which is why he met with me. I should have met with him somewhere else. I didn't think about you showing up to the park. I'm sorry Jungkookie. I'm so sorry for making you worry.." Taehyung has a few stray tears. He worries about Yeontan a lot. It may seem extreme but that dog really is a huge part of his life. He would fall apart without him.

"Tae you could have told me something was wrong.. I could have been here too. I want to help you. And it's not my park. You can go there whenever you want." Jungkook says quietly. Tae moves his hand from Jungkook's thigh to his curls. "I didn't want to make you worry. Plus you seemed busy with school this week so I wanted you to be focused on what you needed to do.

Jungkook just hums and closes his eyes. "I'm sorry for overreacting. It's nice of your friend to be there for you" He whispers. "No Kookie you have no reason to apologize. I would have reacted the same way. It's not your fault. Do you feel better?" Tae takes his face in his hands and makes him look at him. Jungkook nods and Tae presses a sweet kiss to his forehead.

"I promise you that I only have my eyes on you right now. And if you will let me, I would love to only have eyes on you for longer." Tae confesses. Jungkook blushes and freezes slightly. 'Oh my god he isn't joking. He really truly likes me.' He hides his face in Tae's neck and lets out a small whimper. "What was that Kookie?" He pulls his head out of Tae's neck and slowly nods his head while looking down at his lap.

Tae smiles warmly and pulls Jungkook in his lap for another hug. "My precious boy, there is no need to worry. I promise to be the best for you and you only" Tae whispers softly into his ear. Jungkook just hugs him tighter. 'Is this what home feels like?'
