Deku slowly opened his eyes and looked around. After realizing he didn't know where he was, he panicked and stood up to take a step only to be stopped by a metal chain that was wrapped around his ankle. He knelt down and tried to pry it off but to no avail. He then began to fumble for the wall and when he found it he leaned against it in fear.
Where am I? Why am I chained to the wall? What happened?
Deku's thoughts raced like a raging ocean current as he tried to remember what happened that could have led him here. The room he was in had no windows so he didn't know whether it was day or night. In fact, he couldn't even tell what kind of room he was in as there was no light at all. It was pitch black. Deku couldn't even see his hands despite them being directly in front of his face.
Deku began to fumble around with the chain to try and get it off only to be stopped by a small clicking noise. Deku looked around, trying to find the source of the sound with no luck. He figured it was his mind playing tricks on him and began to fumble with the chain again.
After not even ten seconds, Deku heard a click again. This time though, he was able to figure out that the clicking was the sound a lock made; and he was right. After a few more clicks, a door opened in the far corner of the tiny room Deku was in. There was a little bit of light that shone through the doorway, giving way to a tall silhouette.
