The paramedics arrived not too long after and Aizawa and Todoroki helped get Deku onto the stretcher. They then hurriedly rushed Deku into the ambulance near where Bakugou, Iida, and Uraraka were standing. Uraraka had her head resting on Iida's chest sobbing as he tried to calm her down. Bakugou just stood there, unable to react in any way.
A police officer then came up to Aizawa and offered to give them a ride to the hospital. Aizawa accepted the offer and they all drove to the hospital. They all then just sat in the waiting area waiting for a doctor to come over and tell them the news, whether it was good or bad.

"Do you think he's gonna be okay?" Uraraka asked, being the first out of the group to speak in the two hours they'd been sitting there.
No one said anything which just left her more concerned.
"He'll be fine. I'm sure of it." Iida reassured her, though he wasn't exactly sure how true his statement was.
"None of us will know how he's doing until a doctor comes over to talk to us. So it's best we just don't discuss it until then." Aizawa said nonchalantly causing everyone to go silent again.
After about another two hours of waiting, a doctor finally walked over to them. "Are you guys here for Izuku Midoriya?" She questioned.
"Yes, we are." Aizawa responded, standing up from his chair.
"Well, I'm happy to tell you that he's in stable condition and he should recover after a few weeks." She said with a smile.
"Do you think you could tell us how bad his wounds were? I don't think these kids will sleep very well tonight unless they know." Mic chimed in quietly.
The doctor looked at her clipboard and began looking through the papers.
"Are you sure you wanna know?" She asked, wanting to make sure they knew it wasn't good.
"Yes, we are." Uraraka responded, trying not to show how much she was worried.
"Okay well, our charts here say that he received second and third degree burns all over his body; almost like he was set on fire. It also says that he received twenty seven stab wounds to his left rib cage. Three of which penetrated his lung, creating massive fluid build up. He has six broken ribs; two on the left, four on the right, internal bleeding in multiple areas as well as a damaged liver and kidney. And it looks as though he suffered from an unprofessional tooth extraction. That being one of his top left molars and his nose was broken in two places." The doctor finished speaking and everyone stood there in stunned silence.
"In my opinion, it's a complete miracle he survived. Those injuries should've killed him but they didn't. That kid's extremely lucky." She continued, trying to lighten the mood though it didn't seem to do much.
"I knew his surface injuries were bad but, I had no idea he had that many internal injuries." Aizawa said quietly.
"Tch, that bastard had better hope he has life insurance because if I ever see his face again I'm going to kill him." Bakugou spoke up.
"Bakugou calm down. None of us are happy about this but that doesn't mean we go around making death threats." Todoroki replied as he tried to choke back the tears that were trying to escape from his eyes.
"I don't give a damn. I'll threaten that bastard as much as I want if it makes me feel even a little bit better about this situation." Bakugou responded, his voice breaking in the process.
"I see this is a lot for you to take in. I'm gonna go check on him while you guys take a moment to think and relax." The doctor said kindly as she turned around and walked away.
"I can't believe he went through all that. And the fact that he still managed to smile just goes to show how strong he is." Mic said after they all stood in silence for a few more minutes.
"Alright, he can have visitors now." The doctor said after another agonizing few minutes.
"Bakugou and Aizawa should go see him first." Todoroki suggested.
"Huh? You sure icy-hot?" Bakugou asked, surprisingly calm.
"Yes, I'm sure. You seem to have the strongest bond with him out of anyone else in our class, plus Aizawa's his teacher and has fought tooth and nail to keep Midoriya safe. To me it only seems fair that you two visit first." Todoroki continued, crossing his arms in front of him.
"Todoroki's right. We can wait." Iida remarked as Uraraka nodded her head.
Aizawa sighed as he tried to think about how he got so lucky to have such kind and caring students.
"Alright, if you guys insist." He said as he and Bakugou began to walk towards Deku's room.
When they entered the room both their hearts dropped to the floor. Deku was still unconscious and he had an oxygen mask on his face to help him breathe. The two of them hated seeing him like this as they knew he didn't deserve it.
Bakugou silently walked over to Deku's bed and gently grabbed his hand.
"Dammit. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you. If I hadn't been such a self absorbed prick I would've been able to notice how he acted around you. I could've helped avoid this whole thing I..." Bakugou's voice trailed off as he began silently sobbing.
Aizawa walked over to the other side of Deku's bed and placed his hand on his shoulder.
"You'll get through this kid. And we'll all be here to help you." He said calmly.
Bakugou squeezed Deku's hand as he continued to cry, not even caring that he was doing it in front of his teacher; something he swore he would never do.
Bakugou then felt a squeeze on his hand. His eyes widened as he looked up at Deku's face. His eyes started to flutter before they slowly opened.
"K-Kacchan?" Deku asked, a small smile breaking through.
"Yes Deku. I'm right here." Bakugou said softly.
Aizawa chuckled happily, knowing that his student was finally safe.
"And you're here too Mr. Aizawa." Deku said happily.
"Of course I'm here kid. I promised myself I wouldn't leave until you were safe." Aizawa responded.
"Unfortunately, visiting hours are over. You'll have to come back tomorrow." The doctor interrupted.
"Tch, dammit." Bakugou said under his breath.
"Don't worry Kacchan. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. Go home and get some rest." Deku said softly.
"Midoriya's right Bakugou. You need rest. I can tell you haven't slept in days." Aizawa remarked.
"Tch, whatever. I'll be back tomorrow nerd." Bakugou replied before turning around and walking out.
"I'll also be back tomorrow to check on you, alright?" Aizawa said after Bakugou left.
"Alright sensei." Deku said as he began to drift off to sleep again.
Aizawa smiled and, when he saw Deku was asleep, turned and left the room.

A few months after Deku was found, he was finally healed enough to go back to school. Bakugou, Todoroki, Iida, and Uraraka never told the rest of the class what happened to Deku. They were told it wouldn't be a good idea seeing as how none of them wanted to stir up chaos. So they kept their mouths shut and only talked about it a little bit when they weren't with the group. As far as the class knew, Deku was just at home taking care of his mom who was having a hard time dealing with depression. She wasn't actually but that's the story Deku led his classmates to believe because he didn't want them to worry. Zanoka was put behind bars for the rest of his life for aggravated assault and attempted murder while Deku continued his life the same as before, not letting what happened to him slow him down and stop him from working towards his dream of becoming the number one hero.
