Emmett and Rosalie had returned from their hunt, and headed to go check up on Emmeline. When they entered her room, they were both shocked to see her packing.
"What are you doing Emmie?" Emmett asked, as Roselie stared at her best friend and sister-in law, with understanding.
"You're leaving, aren't you?" Rosalie asked as Emmeline stopped what she was doing to look at her big brother and her sister-in-law.
"I have too." She whispered, "I can''t stay here and watch him be with her. Not when I still love him." She sighed when she saw the look on her brother's face, "I just need to get away from all this."
"We could come with." Emmett said walking towards his sister as she zipped her suitcase up.
Emmeline sighed and looked at Emmett, "No....I need to do this on my own, For myself, and my sanity." Emmeline looked up at her big brother with tears in her eyes that would never fall, "I'm sorry, Bear." She whispered.
"Don't." Emmett tells her pulling her into a tight hug, "Don't apologize for something that isn't your fault. Rose and I understand Emmie. And we will be waiting here for you when you're ready to come home. I love you little sister." Emmett hated it's come down to this but he understands this is what his sister needs. "I love you."
Emmeline clings to her brother, burying her face into his chest, "I love you too Bear."
She moves over to Rosalie and hugs her tightly, pushing her face into Rosalie's neck, "I'll miss you Rosie. Look after him for me. Thank you for being the best sister I could ask for. I love you." She whipsers.
Rosalie tightens her hold on Emmeline, as tears that willl never fall fills eyes, "I love you too Emma. Take however long you need. Emmett and I will always be here for you." Emmeline nods as Emmett joins their hug. Pulling away Emmeline gives her brother and sister-in-law one last small smile and grabs her suitcase before walking out of the house.
Emmett and Rosalie hold onto each other as they watch her get into her car and drive away. Little did they know it would be another whole year before they saw her again.
