His Imprint/Her Mate (Twilight)

TIME TO GO HOME

It had been a whole year since Emmeline had left Forks. She hadn't meant to be gone for so long, but every time she thought about going home she thought of Edward and the hurt he caused. So she continued to stay away.

She had travelled all over the world. She even went back to her and Emmett's home town. She knew her older brother wouldn't be to happy with her but she missed the place her and Emmett where raised. She even went and visited her families graves, and dry sobbed there for over two hours.

Now she has been in New Orleans for the last six months and she has loved every minute there. She finally felt free and the pain in her heart had lessened dramatically.

She had also gained two new best friends. Kol and Davina Mikaelson. Kol was a vampire like her but a different type. He was what they call a night walker and was also one of the Original's. Then there was Kol's sweet wife Davina, who was a very powerful witch. They met one night at a bar and the three just instantly clicked.

Emmeline was standing on her balcony, the warm New Orleans breeze blowing gently. She loved New Orleans. The lights, the sounds, the people. A shrill ring interrupted her thoughts.

She knew who it was, causing they had been calling none stop for the last two days. It wasn't like Emmeline was avoiding her brother, she wasn't. She just knew that he wanted her to come home, but even though she feels better she isn't sure shes ready. And she knows she can only say no to her big brother so many times before she caves.

She sighed softly once her phone stopped ringing, and looked back out towards French Quarter that was below her apartment, and closed her eyes.

Once again her phone started to ring, she growled and pushed herself away from her balcony and walked into her bedroom to finally answer the phone that wouldn't stop ringing til she answered.

"What?" She growled into the phone the minute she picked up.

"Wow Emmie. Is that any way to greet your big brother?" Emmett asked playfully.

Emmeline just rolled her eyes, "What do you want Emmett?"

"I want you to come home. It's been long enough. I miss you." Emmett dropped the playfulness and became serious.

He truly did miss his sister, this had been the longest they had been apart since she was born and it hurt. He knew she needed time, that's why he let her go without much of a fight, but he didn't think she would be gone this long.

Emmeline sighed and closed her eyes, "I miss you too Bear. And I miss Rosie too."

Emmett chuckled lightly, "She misses you too Emmie."

Emmeline heard some shuffling and then heard the voice she missed almost as much as her brother, "He's right Emma. I miss you. Is there a chance you are coming home soon?" Rosalie asked softly.

"I don't know. Maybe. Maybe not." Emmeline told the mated couple.

"We really need you to come home." Emmett said after a moment of silence.

"Bear..." Emmeline started.

"No Emmeline we really need you to come home. Things here are.....not good." Emmett explained.

She furrowed her eyebrows and bite her lip, a nervous habit she had when she was human, "What do you mean, not good?"

Rosalie sighed, sounding tired which was unusual for a vampire, "There's a newborn army after us."

Emmeline's jaw dropped in shock, "What the hell? An army of newborns? Is after our family? What the hell for?"

It was silent again for a minute before Emmett broke it, "A few months after you left, we were playing baseball and Edward brought his human and three nomads showed up. One was a tracker and he caught Bella's scent, which caused a hunt. Bella was led into a trap thinking the tracker had her mother, and it wound up with us killing him. Now his mate is out for revenge on Edward and Bella."

Emmeline was quite for a minute, processing what all her brother just told her, "So you'll telling me because of that home wrecking human and back stabbing ex-husband, my family's lives are on the line?" Oh how badly she wanted to kill that human and Edward.

"Yeah." Rosalie said bluntly.

"Great." Emmeline growled just as Kol and Davina walked in.

The mates looked at their best friend and could see the rage on her face, and gave her a confused look to which she just held up her finger.

"Emmie?" Emmett asked after he hadn't heard anything for a few minutes.

"I'll be there tomorrow. But I'm going to be bringing a couple of friends with me, cause I know they won't let me leave without them." Emmeline said as Kol and Davina nodded knowing she was telling the truth, they had no clue what was happening, or where they were going but they weren't going to let Emmeline leave without them.

"That's fine. And just a heads up, we are also working with the wolves. It sucks, but there wasn't going to be enough of us to deal with it on our own." Rosalie said, "We're actually training with them tomorrow. I'll send you where we're going to be training and you can just meet us there."

"Sounds like a plan. I need to go and inform my friends. I'll see you guys tomorrow. I love you both." Emmeline said.

"We love you too." Emmett and Rosalie said before they hung up the phone, not even a minute later Emmett had sent her a text with the coordinates of where to meet tomorrow.

Emmeline slammed her phone closing her eyes, and took unnecessary breathes to control the anger she was feeling, when she opened her eyes she walked over and sat down on the couch in front of Kol and Davina.

"Soooo, what's going on and where are we going?" Kol asked as Davina elbowed him the side for being impatient.

Emmeline took a deep breath and told them everything Emmett and Rosalie had told her.

"Yeah ain't no way in hell we're letting you go by yourself Em." Davina said with a shake of her head.

"Little Witch is right, Gumdrop. Not only would we let you go against a newborn army without us but also we wouldn't let you face your douchebag of an ex-husband by yourself." Kol said with a sadistic smirk on his face.

Emmeline giggle lightly and looked at her best friends, "Are you guys sure?"

"Absolutely." The mated couple agreed.

"Alright. Looks like it's time to go home." Emmeline said she stood up a long with Kol and Davina, "I also didn't mention that Kol is a nightwalker and an Original or that Davina is a witch."

"Ooooohhhh that just makes this so much better." Kol said as he rubbed his hands together in excitement causing the two girls to laugh.

"Okay. We are gonna go get packed, and let you get packed. We will be back in a few hours. It's gonna be okay, Em." Davina said as her and Kol pulled the young vampire into a hug.

"I hope so." Emmeline whispered as she stood in her best friends embrace.
