Part 22

A few days later

Selena POV

I rubbed my forehead trying to calm my headache. I could sense that Dominic was at the edge of his patience with the golden children and their pet. Not long after I returned from Dom from a meeting with the pack, they wanted to know more about the Volturi and the rules regarding vampires. 

 I got a call from Carlisle about an intruder in Isabella's house. Edward had the audacity to demand that Demetri and I find the vampire. Jane went there first with Alec and quickly taught him manners.

I do not know when they will accept that Isabella is not important to me. I grabbed Dominic's hand before Edward attacked. This idiotic vampire suggested that it was a Volturi matter to rush them with Isabella's transformation and take care of Victoria. 

Jane had a lot of fun torturing him for such a suggestion. After a long discussion and after confirming with Sam, they had a plan to protect Isabella and her Father. They wanted to drag me and the rest of my roommates into it but we said that we would give Isabella straight to Victoria if they tried to force us to protect her. 

The plan was simple-two wolves three times a week for 4 hours would watch Isabella only when Edward was not there. Sam pointed out that if Edward was there the guys would return to the reservation. Edward and Jake wanted to object but Sam was Alpha was the law for them. 

He said that if they tried to oppose or change anything Sam would forbid the boys from helping them.Sam gave them time when they could look after Isabella. 

Each time it will be different wolves and their shifts will be Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 6pm to 10pm and if the Cullens are late for that time it will be their fault that Isabella will be unprotected.

 After much pestering, calling and begging Rose, Jas and Em agreed to help for the sake of sanity but said they would only guard her for 2 hours and not a minute longer. 

They said that if the three of them couldn't be there they wouldn't guard her. It was agreed that they would watch Isabella from 10pm to midnight every day. When Edward tried to drag me into it I set him on fire for a few minutes. 

He felt the pain of burning alive, but when I put out the fire he had no trace of it on him. I warned him that if he didn't leave me alone I would do the same to Isabella for two hours and make him watch her burn and scream in pain. This quickly shut him up

I don't know why Edward still thinks Isabella means something to me when I said she is nothing to me. I told him about it, I yell it at him I even wrote it on his cardboard in big capital letters and he still thinks this spoiled child is something to me

'' I am fed up with your constant harassment of me. I want nothing to do with Isabella and the four of you. The Volturi are here to make you stick to the deadline and not try something nefarious '' I said firmly 

'' Try to take off the blame or drag us into your mess you won't like the consequences of that '' I said and grabbed Dominic's hand. 

I summoned the flames around us and moved us to my house before they could say anything. I rubbed my forehead trying to soothe my headache a little. I walked over to the medical booth and took a quick gulp down a potion. 

I sighed as the headache slowly disappeared. I felt Dominic hug me from behind and kiss my neck

'' For why don't I make us something to eat and you rest Principessa '' he said and I nodded

'' Gracias Amor '' I said with a smile and took the plate from him. 

He kissed my forehead and sat down next to me. I turned on the TV and played some movie. When we ate we arranged ourselves comfortably on the couch, found the movie Guardians of the Dreams and decided to watch it. 

Dominic started playing with my hair and massaging my head. I sighed quietly and snuggled more into him. Thanks to my spells, Dominic's body appearance and temperature is like that of a normal person. I began to feel more and more tired and before I realized I had fallen into one of the best days of my life.
