Part 14

The next day

Selena POV

I rubbed my eyes and stretched, I sighed in relief when my back cracked in several places.I don't know for what, but I had a lot of trouble falling asleep noting that I was sometimes very tired. I had a feeling that something had happened and it would change our lives for the worse. I knew right away that it could be Isabella or Charlie but I put my money on Isabella. 

I looked at my phone and when I saw that it was 11:32 I was a little surprised. It rarely happened to me that I sleep this late no matter what time I go to bed. I had slept almost 14 hours but I am still tired. After a long while I crawled out of bed and went to the bathroom. I hoped that a quick shower would help me wake up more. 

I decided not to tie my hair and leave it free. I headed slowly to the kitchen when I heard someone knocking on the door. I hoped it was something important because I didn't feel like having any visitors today. 

'' Rose, Jaz, Em '' I said letting them in 

''What brings you here? '' I asked closing the door behind them 

'' I hope we're not disturbing you '' said Jaz 

'' No, I was just about to make myself breakfast. Do you want some too? '' I asked 

'' If it's not a problem '' said Rose 

'' Give me a moment '' I said and headed for the kitchen 

'' Thank you for the food Lena '' said Rose after a moment

 '' I have a feeling something brought you here besides a friendly visit '' I said sipping my coffee

 '' You have flares Iris we came to warn you '' said Em 

'' From what? '' I asked with a raised eyebrow 

Slowly Jaz, with the help of Rose and Emmett, told me what had happened during the last 24 hours. I didn't mind them giving me so many details but I was glad to be fully on the case. Chralie or Isabella won't be able to tell me that I don't know what I'm talking about when they try to get something out of me. I rubbed my eyes and sighed feeling a headache coming on as they finished telling me what happened at Isabella's birth and what happened after that. 

'' Isabella growled her finger on purpose. You told me how she pressured you to change it. I suspect her plan was for one of you to lose control and attack her. This would force Edward or Carlisle to change her. What you don't know is that her scent is not appetizing to you and she didn't expect you to leave the house quickly when you saw her cut her finger on the envelope '' I said tired 

'' What is your future plans now? '' I asked and Jasper gave me a piece of paper 

'' These are our new phone numbers '' Emmett said to my confused face 

'' Em and I are going on a trip to celebrate our anniversary and Jasper is meeting up with old friends. We have a request that you keep us posted on how the situation here is going and if you and the pack need help with Victoria '' continued Rose, 

'' If the issue with Victoria escalates into a bigger problem we will inform the Volturi ourselves of what is going on '' said Jasper

'' I suspect you guys won't be punished seriously. The three of you wanted to deal with Victoria right away but were stopped by the others. When it comes to meeting your kings, tell or show everything that led to this situation. If necessary I will intercede on your behalf " I said

" When do you leave? '' I asked 

'' We're planning to hit the road when we're done talking to you. We don't want to give the others a chance to stop us " Jasper explained. 

" Let me know from time to time how you're doing " I said smiling

" You better do the same " they said together, and suddenly their phones started ringing. By their facial expressions I knew who calls them and I was surprised that they didn't change their numbers. 

'' You haven't changed numbers yet? '' I asked surprised 

'' We have new phones also. We aim to destroy those when we leave Forks. We discovered a few days ago that Carlisle could track us using the phones. However, he forgot that I was in college and I am very familiar with such things, I quickly turned that option off with no problem '' said Emmett 

'' We have to get going anyway '' said Jasper 

'' Have a safe trip '' I said walking them to the door 

'' We will write when we reach our destinations '' said Rose 

'' I'm holding you to that '' I replied 

I waved goodbye to them and went sporting inside to grab my shopping stuff. I knew the next few days would be really tiring and not peaceful. I just hope that I won't be dragged into the mess that Isabella will create in the future. After making sure I had everything and the house was locked, I got into the car and headed for the stores. I know that in a few days Charlie or Isabella will try to get in touch with me. I knew I had to prepare myself mentally and physically for this.
