Day 17. 6:01 am
It's been 14 days since Jade should have been home. By now her missing would have made national news. From what she gathered Nadia was a nobody. Nobody as in any record of her existence, according to the United States and every other country, Nadia died in a car crash at 3 years old, when she and her family were taking a trip to Brazil to walk the El Dorado path. The E.D.Corp saved her and took her in, turning her into a highly trained masonry. Apparently, she never failed a mission, and she just completed another one by getting Jade here. But why her?
The door opened and a Guard stepped in.
"Another day of testing," Jade thought
16 days of testing, according to most of the other inmates, experiments start after the first month. That means she limited time to escape, it was November 29th, and they left America on November 28th."Why am I here?" Jade asked.
The guard game no response.
"Nothing? Are you not allowed to talk?" Jade asked.
Nothing again.
Soon they entered a room, above her was a window where she could be observed from. No doubt Nadia was up there, watching.
Jade turned to see a long obstacle course, it looked familiar.
"Where had she seen it before." she thought to herself
"Recognize it?" Nadia asked through the speaker system.
"Why? Should I?" Jade responded
"I would hope so, you wrote a whole book trilogy and this was a part of the second book, chapter 6 if I remember correctly," Nadia announced.
She was referencing a book trilogy Jade had created, about an assassin passing on a name to someone younger. The Young Assassin.
"Did you recreate the exact course from the book?" Jade asked, concerned.
"Yes ma'am, I've been through your house more times than you know." Nadia continued, "You kept sketches of this exact course in your writing room."
"So you think I can beat it just because I wrote a character with your name who beat the course?" Jade yelled.
"No, I expect you to die, also my name is not Nadia, I just stole that from your book," she announced.
"Then what is your name" Jade asked
"Why should you care?" Nadia yelled
"At least I'll know the name of my killer before I die," Jade yelled
"Scarlet loveless, happy?"
"No, but here we are," Jade responded"Now, begin!" Scarlet yelled
She looked into the death trap she had written about in a book. What Scarlet didn't know, was Nadia had put hours into research to make the course in her book as realistic as possible, she knew how to beat it, but the question was, could she?
