It's Saturday morning. I don't get why my body wakes me up so early, but it does. I lean over to reach my tiny iPod Touch. It's all I have, after all. My dad doesn't let me get a phone till high school. It shows me that its 8:30. I use all the strength in my body to stand up. When I do, my body feels heavy on my feet. I feel like I could just topple down, like a tower of Jenga. My eyes malfunction for a second. I can't see at all, not with the cursed interpretation of the different colors in my room. After 2 or so seconds, I can finally see again. I go down the stairs, but I can feel my feet step oddly, either to the side or on my tiptoes. I can't control my body. I open the pantry door, take out some Oreos, and to the couch where I've always been. It seems like forever before my dad comes down."Hey, honey,""Hey dad," I say. I try to enjoy the moments when hes actually not screaming at me. At least he is always in a good mood in the morning."We're going out for lunch," he says. I groan."Dad, can I please stay home alone?" I ask, pleading."I think you're gonna want to come," he says, in this weird baby voice. "Besides, you can't stay home alone. I don't let you.""But dad-""Don't -but dad- me. No is no. You don't have a phone, and you're too young. No."I won't have a phone for the next 3 years! What, do I have to go to EVERY dinner with random old people that apparently I'm supposed to know since they have known me since I was a baby just because I don't have a phone!? No way, mister.I get in the car, against my own Will. I'm mad at him. Apparently I'm not responsible enough to stay home alone. Does he think I'll burn the house down? My god. I try not to make eye contact, I want him to know I'm mad. But I notice he's hiding something. I see a little red box with a white silk ribbon on it. The tag reads "For Judy." Who's Judy?"Dad, who's Judy?" I say. I'm actually scared. Did my dad adopt a little sister? The box can certainly fit a little pacifier. But if Judy was a baby, how could she READ "For Judy?""You'll see hon. Also, I thought you weren't talking to me?" Ugh. I hate it when he wins."I wasn't talking to you. The car's radio is very fun to talk to."He chuckles. "You're funny, you know that?""Wasn't a joke."
