Ultraman X: Radio Silence

If the World was to be Destroyed Right Now

"It's almost time to deploy." Yapool was making final preparations, the dark Ultraman X standing by almost as if he was a machine. "I shall head to the battlefield myself. I will make sure the job is finished. Ultraman X will turn from a symbol of hope for humanity into a symbol of their decimation." 

"And does that mean you'll be having this last battle occur on earth?" Mefilas Irudex was prepared to leap to another universe once his master's job was finished here. He eyed the dark Ultraman, then chose to ignore the asset of his master's plan. 

"Ultraman X shall learn. Xio shall learn. They shall learn that we Yapool are not one, but many. They shall live in fear of us for as long as they live." The dark Ultraman behind him twitched, and it seemed he was itching to fight and cause chaos. "Steady, my creation. You'll be able to demonstrate your capabilities soon."

"You have no more Ace Killer units to roll out here." Irudex looked back over to the dark copy. "But it seems you did all this to create a substitute." He had a feeling of what his master may pull, but chose not to speak out of line.

Yapool turned himself into a more gaseous state and then began possessing X Darkness. "I will teach them! I will teach them what it means when their savior becomes their destroyer!" Yapool, now taking on the body of X Darkness held up his hand and broke a dimensional wall. "I shall let them know I am coming. And I will watch them quake in fear, and savor it before I wipe them from the universe!"

It had been at least three weeks since the Xio team last heard of any threats. The members of the base were happily training with the upgraded systems, preparing themselves. They even had some time to dedicate to charity and to improving their public image. The general public seemed to be getting complacent, but Xio could not afford to be unprepared. That was what Lieutenant Tachibana had stated. But at least they had some time to relax and unwind. "Captain Kamiki is coming back from his vacation soon. We'll have to be in top shape. Especially if there's something going on."

Even the lab team was getting in on the training. Rui's gadgets and inventions really seemed to do the trick, especially with marksmanship training. "Okie-dokie! Try to see if you can beat my score, doc!" The scoreboard had Rui at the top. Hayato and Wataru were second and third place respectively, with Asuna at a close fourth, and Daichi at fifth. Mamoru was last, but at least everyone was relatively close in their amount of points. "A scoring system for training really helps motivate us all, huh? I'll implement a monthly scoring system soon, with records and all."

Elsewhere in the base, Daichi was sweating profusely, having just used a new room exclusively for him to practice as X. "Wow... that's really incredible! It really replicates everything I feel when I turn into you, the sensations and everything." He wiped his forehead with a towel and sat down on a bench, holding X by his side. "Well, I guess that's to be expected when you're directly linked up to the system."

"Phew. It puts some strain on me too. Not as much as actual combat, though." X noticed Daichi setting the Devizer down and drinking something. "You've really cleaned yourself up since that incident. You've put on some muscle weight, but your agility and speed hasn't tanked at all." X then remembered something, bringing it to the attention of Daichi. "Oh, right! Aren't we recruiting new members soon because of the reconstruction? We've all got someone we've recommended. I've got a strong feeling that our selected candidate is going to be a top contender."
