Virgin.
Virgin.
Virgin.
Itachi repeated that word to himself over and over again, annoyed with the way his body had reacted just by touching a girl's waist. He could still feel the burning in his cheeks, no matter how much he ignored it.
The room was at the end of the hallway-balcony on the second floor from which you could clearly see the thermal pool, located right between the building with the most remote rooms and the rest of the hotel. Everything was made of wood and had a very traditional feel.
The pleasant steam reached where Kaede and Itachi were, and through the dark sky they could still see some of the lights of the main street on the other side. When the girl was about to open the door to the room, Itachi gently took her arm.
"Hey, I'm sorry," he whispered, still not daring to look at her. "I know that drunk man, he was a ninja from Konohagakure. If he recognized me, I would have had to kill him or let him catch me."
"Don't worry," she said, hiding some nerves that continued to eat away at her insides.
"How much did the room cost you?"
"Why?"
"I want to pay for it."
"But you have to go, right? I'm the one who's going to use it."
"But I'm the one who's making you stay here."
Kaede got upset.
"Itachi, I have enough money to pay for it."
"Well, you have more now." The Uchiha took her hand, left several bills on it and closed it again against the girl's will.
Tomioka was about to yell at him that he didn't have to be so considerate, but the soft look he was giving her disarmed her. She ended up thanking him in a whisper, looking away, still somewhat annoyed.
They both entered the room, and the first thing they discovered was that the only way they could light themselves was by lighting candles. Kaede paid special attention to the intimate intentions with which they had decorated the room.
Jeez, they weren't even old enough for that... yet.
"Why the most secluded room?" She asked.
"Because there's less chance of someone bothering you," the boy responded, lighting several candles with his chakra. Kaede gulped as she confirmed that Itachi's element was also fire, like hers and her brothers. Of course she had to be. "In the ninja world, there are many urban legends surrounding your clan, Kaede. If just one person discovers that you are a Tomioka, say goodbye to our plan of travelling unnoticed."
"But there's no way for them to discover that with the naked eye, right?" She objected.
"It's easier than you think, it's not common to see people with light in their eyes."
Kaede looked at him a little strangely.
"Itachi, my eyes have no light," she murmured, "they are just black. The Tomioka's eyes only light up when they awaken their Kekkei Genkai." When the girl saw the Uchiha's confusion, she was even more surprised. "Have you been seeing light in my eyes all this time?"
"Yes, since you grazed my face with a dagger the first time we met in the Forest," he answered. "And I'm seeing it right now."
Kaede closed her lips, not knowing what to say. When Itachi realized that he was staring at her too much, he continued lighting candles.
Maybe it was his thing?
"Forget it," he said, and the girl preferred not to insist.
The situation was awkward enough since that white-haired middle aged man made them realize what everyone would think they were doing inside that room.
