Charlie POV
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~When Ethan leans back after he kisses my cheek, I see a flash of blue. "Hey, does Greyson know about us?" I ask, scratching my neck. "I didn't tell him," Ethan answers, looking me in the eye.
After sitting on the couch for a few minutes, Ethan turns toward me and smiles. "Let's do something crazy!" He says, grabbing my hand. "Like?" I ask, squeezing his hand. "Let's go swimming," he says with an excited look in his eyes. "Ethan. It's like 30 degrees outside," I say, shocked. "Actually, it's 36 degrees," he says, poking my cheek. "I'm not swimming," I say firmly. "Yes you are," he says, smiling like an idiot. "No I'm no-," is all I manage before I'm in Ethan's arms. "What are you doing?!" I yell, trying to get down. "Going swimming," he answers, smiling at me. "No no no no no!" I yell, struggling to get down.
The next thing I know, I'm in a swimming pool. Ethan cannon-balls into the pool next to me. When he comes to the surface, he looks happy, very happy. "This is f-f-f-freezing!" I yell, hugging myself. "Yeah, it's colder than I thought," he says, looking around. "Soo now what?" He asks. "Come warm me up," I say, shivering. "Well, only if that's what you want," he answers, winking. "Yes it's what I want! Well, not like that but, I'm cold so warm me up," I say rudely. "Oooh you get feisty when your cold. I kinda like it," he tells me, smirking. I giggle and he goes underwater. Suddenly, I feel my foot being pulled. I stumble and fall into the water, which is freezing.
As soon as I'm under the water, I see Ethan waiting for me, smiling. I can't help but smile too. He swims toward me and grabs my waist, pulling me above the surface. "Well, that was fun," he says, smiling at me. Then he notices that I'm really shivering and freezing. "Oh my gosh. You're actually freezing," he says, his cheeks turning red with embarrassment. "Yeah. I'm freezing," I answer, walking to the steps to get out of the pool. "Allow me," he says as he picks me up bridal style and goes to the edge of the pool. Then he sets me in the freezing water, gets out of the pool and pulls me up and out of the pool.
Of course when we get back to the house my clothes are soaked. "So uh what am I supposed to do?" I ask. "About what?" Ethan asks, already taking off his shirt to change. I can't help but stare at his body. "Charlie, if you wanted me to see my abs, you could've just asked," he says, making me snap back to reality. "Oh yeah sorry. So what clothes am I supposed to put on?" I ask, shivering. "Well I don't have any girl clothes," he says, scratching his head. Gosh he is so cute. And he is still shirtless. "I guess you could ask my mom," he says, "but it's pretty late." I look at the clock and it reads 12:57. "Oh I can just go home," I say once I see how late it is. "No, spend the night," he begs. "Are you sure?" I ask. "Oh I'm completely sure," he says as he smirks and winks at me. "I'm not sure how I feel about that," I say, laughing. And then I remember that I'm still dripping wet. "Hey I still need clothes," I say. "No you don't," Ethan answers back. "Yes I do!" I say, kinda surprised that he just said that. He starts laughing as he walks into his parent's room. A few minutes later, he comes back with some clothes for me. "Here you go, my darling," he says, kneeling. "Why thank you," I say, blowing him a kiss as I take the clothes. I walk to the bathroom to change and I have to pass Greyson's bedroom to get there. As I walk by, I notice that he has company. And guess who it is. Sadie Brown. Then I remember that I have Ethan now and I don't care about Greyson anymore.
As I walk out of the bathroom, I see Ethan sitting in the living room, waiting for me. I notice he is sitting on the couch so I sit in the recliner chair to mess with him. "What are you doing?" He asks when I sit down. "Sitting down," I answer calmly. "Come sit by me," he says, patting the spot next to him. "But why?" I ask. "Because I want you to," he answers. I decide to sit by him because I was a little cold all by myself. "See. Isn't that better?" He asks, putting his arm around my waist. "Much better," I say, smiling as he kisses my cheek. After watching tv for a while, Ethan asks me if I want to watch a movie. "Sure. But which one?" I answer. "Well we have Marley and Me, Pitch Perfect, Grease, Divergent, The Hunger Games, and The Dark Knight," he says, looking through the movies. "Well, Marley and Me makes me cry so we aren't watching that one. I've seen Pitch Perfect and Grease so many times. Let's watch The Dark Knight," I decide. "Ok. Whatever you want is fine with me," he says, smiling and I can tell that he is tired. When he puts the movie in, we get more comfortable on the couch. Since their couch is huge, we could lay down. Ethan lays closest to the cushions on the back of the couch and I am closer to the edge. He wraps his arm around me so I don't fall off the couch, but I think he just wanted to put his arm around my small waist. "Your waist is tiny," he says as if it's unnatural. "Thanks, I guess," I say, laughing quietly.
So anytime I lay down, I have a habit of pulling my shirt up to just above my belly button. And of course, I did it out of habit and as soon as I did, Ethan found my bare skin. It was kinda strange, having someone just rub little circles onto my stomach. "Your skin is really soft," Ethan tells me. I can tell he is very tired just by his voice. "Goodnight Ethan," I say, kissing his cheek. "Goodnight Charlie," he says, kissing my nose. I blush and he knows it. "You're blushing, aren't you?" He asks. "Maybe," I answer, smiling. And with that, he was asleep. With his hand still on my bare stomach, I fall asleep, next to him.
The next morning, I wake up in an unfamiliar place. Then I remember staying at Ethan's house. I turn and look at him. He is still asleep, his hand still on my stomach. I can't help but smile when I see the cute little smile on his face when he sleeps. I notice him start to move around a little bit so I pretend to be asleep. I can feel him wake up and take his hand from my stomach, which makes me sad, and he stops moving for a few seconds, perhaps he was looking at me. Then I feel him kiss my lips. Not a passionate kiss but a soft kiss, one that would be used to wake someone up. I take that as a cue to wake up. So I slowly open my eyes and see him, sitting up and smiling at me. "Well good morning," he says in that adorable, deep morning voice that I just can't resist. "Good morning," I say back, smiling. "So are you hungry?" he asks. "No. I don't really eat much for breakfast," I answer. Then he just stares at me with that smile on his face. I'm still laying down and he is still sort of leaning over me from when he kissed me. I can't help myself. I sit up and kiss him lightly. When I look at him he is still smiling. "Why are you smiling?" I ask. "Because you are so beautiful, there's nothing else to do," he answers. Wow. I don't know how to respond to that. So we are just sitting there, in a comfortable silence. Then, Greyson and Sadie walk in. Greyson has lipstick marks on his face and he looks happy. "He thinks that since my parents aren't here today he can do what he wants," Ethan whispers in my ear. I nod as Sadie glares at me. Then she grabs Greyson and starts kissing him. Ethan grabs my hand and brings me downstairs. "Sorry about them," he says. "About who?" I ask, trying to act like it didn't bother me. "Greyson and Sadie," he answers. "Oh I don't care about them. I have you now," I say with a smile. He smiles and starts fixing himself breakfast. "You sure you don't want any?" He asks me for the tenth time. "I'm fine," I answer. "I know you are but do you want breakfast?" He says, smiling. "No I do not want breakfast," I say, laughing. He finishes making his breakfast and he comes to sit by me at the table. "That is the biggest plate of bacon and eggs I have ever seen," I say, laughing. "Well, what can I say? I like food," he says, smiling. As we sit in silence, I realize something. I never told any of my friends about me and Ethan. Usually Dylan is the first to know everything. "So why did you pull up your shirt last night?" Ethan asks, interrupting my thoughts. "It's just a habit I guess," I answer, shrugging. "Oh ok," he says as he takes a bite out of a piece of bacon. "Well, it's a cute habit," he says after he swallows his food. "How is it cute?" I ask, genuinely curious. "Because you have a cute little stomach and belly button," he answers. Suddenly, I feel self conscious about my stomach. He probably noticed that I started blushing and looking down. "Hey, what's wrong?" He asks, raising up my chin. "Nothing," I answer quietly. "C'mon Charlie. Tell me," he insisted. "It's nothing. Really," I say, smiling. Suddenly, Ethan picks me up and brings me outside. "Tell me or I'll drop you in the pool," he says, smirking. "Ok fine! Just don't drop me in the pool!" I say dramatically. "It's just when you said that, I got self conscious about my stomach," I answer, looking up at him. "Really?" He asks. I nod slowly. "I wasn't saying anything bad about you. I said you were cute," he says, smiling. I smile at him and then I realize that he is still holding me. "Please put me down," I say sweetly. "Right here?" Ethan asks, smirking. "No! Not right here!" I yell when I remember that we are at the pool. He carries me inside the house and sets me down on the table. "Thank you," I say, standing up. I watch Ethan clean his plate and put it in the dishwasher. I smile at how careful he is with the glass plate. He turns around so fast that he scares me and I yelp. Of course he finds the strange noise I just made hilarious and literally falls to the floor laughing. "C'mon. It wasn't that funny," I say, crossing my arms. After laughing for a few more seconds, Ethan stands up and hugs me. "What was that for?" I ask. "What? I can't hug you?" He asks, a tone of hurt in his voice. "I never said that," I answer. When I try to get another hug, he picks me up, throws me over his shoulder and holds onto my legs. I give up on trying to get him to let go. When we get to our destination, I see that it's his room. His room is clean and simple. Just a bed, a dresser, a desk and a nightstand. I sit on his bed and take in the scent of his room. His room smells just like him. Like expensive cologne. I love it. "So. I'm just gonna tell you the truth," Ethan says, looking straight at me. Now I'm kinda worried. "I really wanna kiss you right now," he says, staring into my eyes. "Well, go for it," I say, smirking as he presses his lips to mine. I could get used to this.
