"So, how was your first day at the daycare?"

Sunoo smiled warmly as he approached the coffee table, carefully balancing two bowls in his hands. His daughter, Ri Hoon, was engrossed in colouring her homework, her head slightly tilted to the side. Sunoo couldn't help but stifle a chuckle at the sight, as he settled down beside her.

He gently placed the bowls on the coffee table and took a seat on the floor. He then shifted his position towards Ri Hoon, who was sitting nearby, in order to observe her colouring. "Oh, did the teacher assign homework on the very first day?" He inquired, expressing his surprise.

Ri Hoon smiled and nodded. "Yes! I find it fun though because the teacher allowed me to use any color to fill in the picture," she happily exclaimed, as Sunoo kindly smiled and gently stroked her hair.

Sunoo gently ran his hand through her hair as Ri Hoon focused on colouring the book. "Have you made any friends?" He inquired, prompting Ri Hoon to turn her head towards her father.

"Yes!" She exclaimed with enthusiasm, which took Sunoo by surprise. He startled slightly and made a surrendering gesture, motioning for Ri Hoon to sit back down. "Um whoa, calm down girl." He then laughed.

Ri Hoon excitedly sat down and gazed at her father. "Lee Aurelia Sim is her name! Today she spoke to me, and she is truly beautiful!" She exclaimed with joy.

Sunoo blinked and furrowed his eyebrows slightly as he tilted his head to the side after hearing the familiar name. 'Lee..? Sim?' he pondered silently, unintentionally fixing his gaze on Ri Hoon.

Ri Hoon blinked in confusion as she observed Sunoo's furrowed eyebrows and his blank stare. She attempted to dismiss her father's thoughts by waving her hands. "Papa?" she called out, but her efforts were unsuccessful.

She pouted and leaned forward to pinch Sunoo's nose, which immediately startled Sunoo and snapped him out of his daydream. "Hey!" Sunoo exclaimed, prompting Ri Hoon to giggle and return to sitting on the floor.

"Why did you do that?" Sunoo inquired, with a slight pout, to demonstrate his feelings of being upset. "I noticed that you often do the same to me when I zone out, so I thought it was fair to do the same thing to you too." In response, Ri Hoon rolled her eyes, leaving Sunoo astonished and bewildered.

'Did this girl just roll her eyes at me?!' Sunoo couldn't believe what he had just witnessed and felt somewhat offended. "Did you just roll your eyes at papa?" He politely expressed his thoughts and raised his eyebrows in suspicion.

Ri Hoon smiled politely and shrugged, saying, "I just copied you." This caused Sunoo's jaw to drop, but he still had a faint smile on his lips.

With a gentle chuckle, he gradually transformed it into a hearty laugh as he extended his hand to affectionately pat Ri Hoon's head. "I must say, I have done a good job raising you." He proceeded to embrace Ri Hoon, sensing the joyous giggles that escaped the little girl in response to her father's unexpected hug.

"I love you so much, how could I live without you?" Sunoo gently began to plant kisses on the little girl's head and face, enveloping her in a warm embrace. Ri Hoon couldn't help but burst into laughter, finding the kisses delightfully ticklish.

"Alright, let's eat dinner first and continue your homework later on."

"We're eating out again?" Aurelia politely asked, feeling quite tired, if they could possibly consider eating out. Ni-ki smiled awkwardly in response while continuing to drive the car.

It was currently nighttime, approaching eight in the evening. The two of them had been waiting patiently for hours, ever since Aurelia returned from daycare, for her parents to come home. However, regrettably, they won't be returning until midnight.
