What a wonderful world of silence, comfort. The pillow I've come to love shifted under my weight, mumbling incoherently as I drag the object closer to me.
Weirdly, the pillow seemed to have had hardness around the edges, if there were rocks inside the cushions I would have had to throw them right at Sanemi or whoever put those disgusting objects near my perfect haven bedroom
However what's concerning wasn't about the pillows odd hardness but the way it shifted from its place, bringing me on top of it... I could feel strong hand along my waist holding me tight and close to the figure
"What...?" I started, my eyes slowly opening groggily. half lidded, I look in front of me to see a blonde man with a sharp jawline. It's not some pillow that I was laying on but in fact the correct words were "Someone"
"Shit, what the actual hell?!" I exclaimed, rolling off the said handsome blonde muscular person and onto the floor with a curse. This morning was already providing to be a headache, as I looked up from the floor seeing Erwin
God it was Erwin
I was concerned and curious why the famous corps commander would be sleeping in bed with a weird woman who can't part with a sword and knows about different kinds of demons... better yet, different outfit styles.
"Are you alright?" Erwin asked softly, concerned etched into his blonde masculine fine features. For some reason, I couldn't help but scowl
How can someone be that Handsome?
"Fine." I grumbled just in time for Hange to come bursting hearing the sudden thump in the room. Her eyes find mine then back towards the Blonde commander that is watching me with concern in his eyes
"I see... I thought something happened inside"
My scowl deepens not knowing what the Mad scientist was hinting at, but I don't probe anymore. Something tells me that if I do then it won't be any pleasant experience.
Behind her, just outside the door was the rest of the team. Peeking inside to see what was the commotion only to see me ass on the ground. Then their eyes go to their commander on the bed, with utter wide eyes they move away from the door looking like they've seen something utterly illegal.
"What's the agenda today?"
With Erwin's question Hange suddenly becomes serious, her eyes holding back anger as she report to Erwin what she had found inside the walls. If Erwin was shocked he did a massively good job on not showing
However on my side, I barely listened. There was another problem for me to face and it was certainly more drastic than a so called Titan inside the walls... From what I can gather, the walls has been there to protect them, what's so sudden about this revelation
"And these titans are the same ones protecting us" Hange spoke bitterly
Oh yes... that part for them
Well I was definitely wrong about something, the government is lying to them and they are hiding things that shouldn't be hidden in the history of Paradis.
How unfortunate of them... well lets not get them more agitated, so Its best to hunt down the demon alone, of course I'm the only one experienced enough to slay one. Perks of being a Hashira I guess... Not
Honestly sometimes think its best to be an ordinary human being for once.. well here we are and here are they, better suck it up and move on.
As they talk and I listened.. well more like halfly listened, they agreed that they would part ways for the time being considering that it would be dangerous for now, I wasn't aware how dangerous it could be until a knock on the door.. Hours later.
It was already touching night, Erwin had already left and Hange came back after doing some business, though I noticed that her complexion isn't all that great
The room was stunned into bitter silence, engulfed in a tense atmosphere as Hange tells us what exactly she had seen when she went about her business... One of the priest that Hange interrogated was dead, murdered.
"Everyone out... we must leave now" Levi warned us, making sure to make a point not to touch anything and make it seem like we haven't been here at all, and that's exactly what we did.
By the time we all left to safety, the guards that was suppose to seem like they'll jail us came into the house, looking around and scattering the scene. Yet they did not find anything or anyone, because all of us were kept hidden near a hill where we could see them, but also not so near that they could spot us
"New orders from the government came, they told every scout regiment to freeze all activities outside the walls" Levi explained as we all have our attention to him
"And also said to hand over three persons; Eren, Historia and Yuriel"
"Wait wait wait... hold on, what do they want with me?" I asked defensively, waving one of my hand in the air while the other was rested onto the hilt of my blade
"Perhaps because the Garrison knew that you we're found Outside the walls" Armin advised, musing to himself. And somehow that irked me for some reason
How can one ask for me just because I was outside of the walls? That's plain and utter bullshit... However, they did look so surprised and warry the first time we had met
Perhaps it was a foreign concept to them.
"Looks like they're protecting some kind of Wall secret" I added with a sigh
"But why would they want these three.. not to kill but to obtain?" Hange muttered to herself although it was quite audible to the others
"We don't know but it's clear the enemy target is them.. Loitering around the shadows preparing to strike" Levi replied
"We should slip in where the Chaos is apparent, it will be easier to blend in" I advised to them, quickly explaining why so that the conversation doesn't have to be too long and waste the precious time we have.
"Indeed... and if it comes down to it.. we can use these in the city" Levi showed the part of his gear, it was quite a reasonable argument. The place where the priest is killed had many houses and place to stick their gear in
"What about Yuriel?" Armin asked concerned that I don't use them
"Have you seen her?"
"She is fast as hell"
"And she was holding back that time."
"She can handle herself."
A barrage of compliments comes my way when Armin expressed his concern, it fattened my ego if I have to be honest.
Alright then... Let's all be criminals
