Richard was getting ready, it was yet another morning. I was awake, but I did not bother to raise my head from the pillow. I thought about my parents, how worried they must have been and probably not sleeping at all. I heard Richard step out of the room, and I stood up from the bed and my eyes landed on the open window. I could run away, then come back for my other friends and life could get back to normal and we could all pretend this never happened. I thought.

I was standing right at the window, on a chair, just waiting to raise a leg and climb out through the window. But my heart looked back, back at Richard and the way he looks at me and then his scent. I found myself chuckling alone, and I even blushed when I thought about all of it. I suddenly heard a loud clearing of throat, and I startled as I nearly fell on the chair.

'Climbing through the window.' Richard said, and I scratched the back of my head. 'Uhm, I was just looking outside. Some fresh air.' I said, followed by a nervous giggle. 'Looking at birds, hey little birdie.'I continued,  but when I turned to Richard he looked like he was not willing to buy anything I had just said.

I climbed off the chair as I looked at him as he had his arms folded before his chest, and I saw a little smile form on his face. He slowly approached me and stood right before me, and I slowly looked up at him. The first thing I met were his lips.

'I just want to go home, please. I won't tell anyone.' I said in a cry, I couldn't help myself anymore. 'At least can I send a message back home, let my family know I'm fine for now.' I begged, but Richard instead hugged me. 'I know you won't tell anyone, but I can't just let you go. I'm sorry.' He said, but he hug was helping though. 'Come.' He said as he took me to the bed and seated me, and he wiped away the tears from my face. 'Please stay a little longer, I promise I'll let you go. It will be your choice.' He said, and honesty was in his eyes.

But what does he mean a little longer? I asked myself.

Nothing makes a person weak than love, trust me.

'Can I at least see my friends?' I asked, and he looked at me darely. 'That's fine, i guess.' He said, and he went out.

I felt like I was a married woman, watching her husband go to work while she's a house wife and she has got to ask for everything. But Richard's smile was the world, even though it looked like smiling is not something he is good at. I tried to make the bed, but the maid hurried in.

'No.' The maid exclaimed, and I was shocked. 'O-kay.' I said as I backed off, still shocked.

Who just shows up out of the bloom and yell, no and just snatch some blankets from someone. I made my way to my friends' room, I could hear their giggle from afar, and I slowly walked in to find them with the guard and the guard put on a serious face or maybe let me say ashamed face when he saw me, like he did something wrong and he left.

'What was that all about?' I asked Makhi and Faith who were busy still caught in their laughs.

'Guys.' I exclaimed since they looked like the Couldn't even see me.

'Sorry, hi.' Faith said, and I took my seat.

'Well, you guys seem happy.' I said, and a moment of silence arose.

'I think this place is better than home where my parents are always fighting, I get to feel some peace and quiet and go to bed without having to cover my ears.' Makhi said, and I understood immediately.

I approached her and hugged her.

We sat on the bed cuddling, it was pouring outside. One of the guards came in, and he cleared his throat. Our eyes stuck on him, and he pointed his sword at me and pointed outside. I looked at my friends, not knowing what to think but I wasn't scared of dying anymore cause it didn't feel like a death call to me, just curious why we were still alive yet others died. I climbed off the bed and followed the guard and he let me to the kitchen. Wow! The kitchen was set, well prepared and a table for two. Richard sat precisely on one of the chairs going through the news paper, and I approached shocked as the guard told me to seat.
