"Hey, 006, why do you think Lillith is called Lillith?" I had no idea what the school's name meant, but I was starting to become curious.
"In an RS lesson I taught I earned Lillith is a biblical character, Adam's first wife before Eve"
"Interesting. Was she a sinner? That would fit this place"
"She was made before sin, so probably not"
"How come they chose that?"
"I don't know. I don't think schools ever do proper research on anything, they probably just picked something and rolled with it" We both laughed. It wasn't funny at all, but we needed dopamine somehow.
While it was nice to wander the building with 006 sometimes, I also had to work, and for some reason was expected to be enthusiastic about my slavery. I don't get that, I never asked to be working here, nor did I ask to go to school, yet I was expected to enjoy doing the work for free. I'm a human, not a robot. Although, this place felt more like they expected you to be miserable, they revelled in it. I don't have to like everything. I don't have to always be so cheerful like 006.
I had to teach physics.
My next lesson was rather out of my comfort zone seeing not one person I knew was there, but I had to seem cool with it.
I was teaching physics. I kind of liked it, but my old teacher was horrible at it so that kind of impacted my impression. I did like black holes though and how they broke physics. Such a neat set of rules just broken by a little hole. Well, technically a gigantic hole. Bigger than the sun. Bigger than the solar system. By far. It was interesting and completely incomprehensible to my tiny 11 year old brain.
"Excuse me sir" I pointed out. I wasn't the one teaching, and I had spotted a mistake in one of the slides. I corrected his mistake, little did I know I had awakened a God of fury. His face immediatly turned red and his eyebrows furrowed.
"Do you think you're being funny!? I have a masters, you are an 11 year old! I am your senior, I am your elder! How dare you accuse me of making such a petty mistake!" and the voice droned on and on and on. What the hell was he doing? All I did was point out a mistake, and I wasn't rude about it either, was his ego really so big? This had absolutely nothing to do with ages, he simply didn't want to admit he, a human, could make mistakes.
But maybe the anger was a sign. Mistakes in this place could get you killed, perhaps he wanted to protect himself.
Still an asshole move though. Would he get punished? Who knows?
