You didn't think the dead could breathe. Why are you breathing then? You are also hearing a familiar creaking sound of people walking and you smell salt from the ocean. You can't be dead if you can sense these things. Shaking your head to clear some drowsiness, you managed to open your eyes. The room was nicely decorated for a big room. There was even a lit fireplace against one wall.

It looks like you made it to Serai, but you don't remember it. Frowning, you winced and held your head in pain. Glowing gold flashing behind your eyes and images of a, monster? No, an angel human hybrid. Pain crosses your arm and side as you see her sharp teeth and her talons for fingers. You fought it.

Feeling the pain subside, you blinked your eyes open. You were pulled into that things egg. There was no way out. Not even a dagger could break the egg. How did you get out? How did you get to Serai? Tensing when you heard the door open, your eyes went to the person that entered. Relief filled you when you realized it was just Prince Alan. You never thought you would be this happy to see him, but after dealing with the monsters and hybrids, it's good that he's safe. You completed your mission, now you can leave the Secret Guard.

"Alan." You greeted, struggling to climbed out of the bed to bow.

"(Y/N), don't bow, you're still injured." He ordered, though he chuckled, "You don't know how happy I am that you're alive. We thought...we thought you were gone for good."

Knowing what he was meaning, you looking up, "Speaking of, how did I get here? I was trapped it that, things egg. Three of us couldn't even pull me out."

He was quiet, like he was thinking before he moved over to you, "I don't know. When I was safely brought to Serai, Alex went to back to get you. He believed you were still alive. I didn't ask how he did it. We should talk to the queen. She'll be happy to know that you're doing okay."

Nodding, you went tense when he grabbed your hand. Your eyes ached, making you squeeze them to will the pain away. Letting out a breath when the pain left, you opened your eyes, though you froze at the sight in front of you. It wasn't Alan standing in front of you. The creature didn't seem to have a solid form. It was like it was made of moving water. White glowing orbs where in place of where the eyes would be. You've never seen a creature like it, but you know it's a monster. Pulling your hand back, your eyes widened when the figure started to fade until Prince Alan was standing in front of you.  He seemed confused, but there was still a smile on his face.

"I'm actually not feeling well. I need to rest a little more or I could pass out." You lied easily, giving it a small smile.

It bought it easily, "Sure. She'll probably come in here then. Food will be brought to you. Rest well."

Nodding, you glared at the creature as it turned its back on you to leave.  Once the door was shut, you made your way to it and tried to quietly open it. It's locked, much to your annoyance. Glancing around the room again, you saw glass door that led out to a balcony. Deciding to try those, you sighed when you discovered they were locked. However, a locked door didn't prevent you from looking outside. Along the castle walls, you could see strange lights that weren't fire. You saw the form of an orc in the light.

You're not in Serai, you doubt you're even in human territory. That can't be possible though. No humans can cross the seas without being attacked by the sea creatures. How did you get here? Going to the bed, you sat down. None of this makes sense. Why would monster hold you captive? Where are you? How are you alive?

Calming down, you thought about the first thing you will need, a weapon of some kind. Looking through some of the drawers, you frowned when you saw a letter opener. It's a small knife, but it's still a weapon. It will still go through skin, with the silver tip, it might even do more damage to the monsters. Sitting down, you examined it a little more before slipping it into your sleeve. Jumping when the door opened, you stood and turned as the Queen walked in, though you suspect she's not the real human queen. A gentle smile crossed her face as she approached you.

"(Y/N), it's so good to see you again." She chirped, "I know you aren't feeling the best, but this is more urgent."

Trying not to scoff, you shook your head, "I saved your son, yet I can't even get a day of peace. What could be more important than saving your son?"

"A worldwide war." She answered, grabbing your hand.

Your eyes ached, though you tried to force your eyes to stay open. Horror filled you as her brown hair turned white as snow and her eyes turned to a glowing red. Horns sprouted from her head and seemed to curve up over her head. From what you saw, she didn't have fangs though, just sharp nails. You don't know what she is either.

"I need you to be a general in my army." She spoke, though the fact a monster is asking you that sends a disgusting shiver down your spine.

"Why not my father or Master Remus?" You asked deciding to play along for a little while until she turns her back on you.

"They will be general's as well." She assured me, "You have loyalty that very few have. If the others know that they have a leader who try to keep them alive, like you did your team, they will be willing to follow."

"You seem to have forgotten that I lost most of my whole team and nearly my own life." You reminded her, since she clearly knows, "I've lost one of my teachers, my best friends, and people I spent years training with. Attempting to save them doesn't matter if you don't actually save them. Humans only see failure; rarely do they praise success."

A frown crossed the creature's face as she let your hands go. Her features changing and her horns disappeared until she looked like the human queen again. Clearly, she wasn't expecting your answer.  She sighed as she stood.

"I know you went through something traumatic. You are a good fighter from what my son told me. Their deaths would be for nothing if this war starts though. " She continued, "Think on it for a little while. Give me an answer when you're ready."

Watching her take a few steps away, you jumped up. Grabbing her arm, you twisted it behind her back, before holding the letter opener to her neck. You felt her tense as her form shifted again to the horned woman.

"I've thought about it, and I won't be a general to a monster army." You growled, "How about you answer my questions. It's better than the alternative."

Making sure to show her you weren't joking; you sliced her neck a little. That should motivate her to talk.
