So I was correct. I worried unreasonably. As I arrived at the restaurant, I quickly came across Naofumi and Myne, sitting together, talking and beaming at one another. I cringed while observing them. However, I wouldn't have joined them unless I had been desperately hungry. Though, I still felt marginally angry due to the fact that they had consumed their meals without me.

I gazed intently at Myne, who was situated in front of me. As I scrutinized her, the words uttered by my metallic rod suddenly came to mind. What precisely did he mean by 'Exert caution around Myne'?

Even after my food had been served to me, I couldn't forget what my metal rod had said. I pondered the tale he had narrated to me and discerned with certainty that there was more to it than he portrayed. Desperate to acquire knowledge, I intensely desired to comprehend its complete content.

I was determined to uncover the underlying details in any way possible. No matter what, I couldn't eradicate the notion that a significant secret concealed itself within that mere metal rod.

My thoughts were interrupted as Myne clasped my hand. "Sir heroes, why don't we three have a drink?" she stated with a smile. "I'm sorry, but I don't drink alcohol," Naofumi said, scratching the back of his neck awkwardly. "Then how about you sir Y/N?" Myne posed as she eyed me questioningly.

"I also don't drink alcohol." I stated with a terse tone, before snatching my hand away from her. "Oh, but it will only be a little ." Myne claimed with a smile. "Again, like I said I don't drink alcohol." I reaffirmed plainly. "Oh, please Sir Hero, just a tiny amount," Myne implored, which piqued my annoyance. "Does 'no' not carry across as an expression to you, Myne? Why are you persistently requesting that we drink with you? Just what are you planning?"

My irritation had grown to the point of exploding at her without notice. "Apologies, but I must leave," I stated abruptly, getting to my feet. Naofumi quickly stood as well, rushing after me while shouting, "Why did you have to be so rude to her? Y/N!" He seized my hand, looking at me with fury.

"Oh, please. Are you joking? You witnessed how persistent she had been!" I yelled bitterly and wrenched my arm away from him. "But still, why did you have to act so rude?" Naofumi retorted, frowning. "Don't be stupid Naofumi! You can't tell me that she wasn't acting suspicious at all! " I reproached loudly.

"You could have declined her more nicely . Why are you constantly rude to others at every opportunity?" Naofumi shouted furiously, overwhelming me. It was the first time he had acted that way towards me, causing me to feel somewhat overwhelmed.

"Fine, don't listen to me!" I yelled, peeved."Don't be like that, Y/N." Naofumi said, sadness adorning his expression. "Forget it, I'm going to get some fresh air don't come looking for me." I said coldly. Without even glancing backwards, I stormed away, unwilling to look back.

The anger welled up inside of me as I ran away from my brother. Tears pricked my eyes as I tried to control my growing fury. Was he blind? How could he not see how persistent and suspicious that girl is.

If anything bad were to happen to him, I'm not to blame, I had already warned him.

I didn't run far, I was at the forest next to the restaurant we were just at, I planned to stay there and cool off, maybe talk to my brother tomorrow.

I settled down beneath a tree, frowning as thoughts of my argument with my brother raced through my mind. I couldn't believe how dense he was. "Gosh, why is he so stupid?" I yelled in frustration, reaching for a nearby stone and hurling it into the nearby river with some vigor.

The forest was serene, its calming atmosphere pierced only by the bird songs that filled the air. But that tranquility was suddenly shattered by a familiar voice drifting from the bushes nearby.

I glanced at the familiar figure and frowned, "Myne, how did you know where I was?" I asked, my tone chilly. Myne gave a bright smile before stepping closer to me, her cheerful demeanor somehow more sinister than usual. "I followed you," she said with a smile.

I met her gaze directly but broke it off quickly, focusing on throwing more small stones in the nearby river. "If it's an apology you're looking for, then you won't get it," I replied bitterly. "I stand by my opinion." She flashed me a bright grin but I was far from impressed.

I flinched as she sat down next to me, my annoyance mounting with every moment I spent in her presence.

My annoyed glare was met with nothing but her amused chuckle. "You're so cute when you're glaring at me, Sir y/n," She said as she wrapped her arms around my arm. Just what was wrong with this crazy woman?

"Wanna know something funny?" Myne asked with a twisted grin. "You are right! I am plotting something." I felt the familiar spike of alarm rise in my body, but I tried to remain calm. "You weren't really doing a great job of hiding it." I stood up and backed away from her, wary of the twisted smile that never left her face.

"I'm surprised you'd reveal this to me," I said, my tone still cold. "People usually aren't this forthcoming with their sinister plots." Myne smiled brightly. "That's why I like you so much, Sir y/n. You're different from the other heroes; you're too smart for your own good." She spoke as if what she had just said wasn't concerning in the slightest.

I glanced up as she slowly advanced towards me, inching closer with every step she took. I stared down at her with a look of contempt and disdain. "Why are you telling me all this?" I muttered, retreating from her proximity. "I know how much you despise your brother.... so collaborate with me and destroy him." She uttered with a look of glee and mischievousness which sent cold shivers down my spine.

It was true that I harbored deep resentment for my brother but participating in a scheme to utterly destroy his life was a vile and deplorable act. I'm not that kind of person.

"No thank you," I exclaimed, shooting her a scornful look. She regarded me with a fading grin, as if she were savoring my discomfort. I paid no heed to her words, and I cleared my throat discreetly. "If you'll excuse me, I'll be making my leave."

But before I had a chance to make my timely exit, something struck me in the head, causing my vision to rapidly distort and blur. I saw a mischievous grin on myne's face and a malevolent glint in her eyes as I began to lose consciousness.
