Everyone were already in hall in the court of Nightmares, I should go last.
I didn't hear anything Rhysand said in there he should tell me when should I come in. I was nervous.
Maybe they all acted nice to me to keeo me calm before they would kill me in there. I tried to think about something nice. I thought about my little brother how we used to play hidden and seek.
Iet him always win. We laughed when he found out I did it on purpose.
So after that sometimes I let him win and sometimes not.
We played on warriors with wooden swords he made with my father.
I love him more than anything and my dad too. They are my everything and I did everything to protect them.
So if I die I can die peacefully that I protect whom I love.

You can enter, Naerys. Chin up and do not look emotional. Keep it calm and play heartless.

Rhysand spoke in my mind. Big wooden door opened and I walked in. I did everything he said.
I held my wings half open and walked, I felt every eye on me.
When I reached Rhysand and Feyre I kneeled down.

Very well played, Naerys. Stand up.

„ Stand up" Feyre spoke when Rhysand finished his sentence in my mind and I stood up. Small stairs were before me and on top sat High Lord with High Lady of the Night court.

„ Naerys Neeji, you are a woman who fought with us in a war. Alongside us. And you were the only Illyrian woman who survived. I want you to give you a place in my court. For your bravery and intelligent, loyalty and fighting skills. " He spoke loudly so all of the people in here could hear him. I stayed quiet, no emotion on my face.
„ You will be a second Commander of the Night court armies." Cassian's gaze snapped at me and I looked for a second at him and than at Rhysand and Feyre, I heard whispering behind me.
What in the holy cloudorn is happening?!
I can't take Cassian's place not even in second would I imagine something like that.

„ No" I spoke loudly, silent was all I heard.

„ That was a safe way to safe yourself from fighting against Keir's soldier."
Is he playing with me? I don't think he is...

Motherfucker.
„ Who should I kill?" I spoke and I heard a laughter on my right side I glared at a man. Keir. Morrigan's father.
„ On what command are you laughing?" Rhysand growled but he didn't shut up.
„ This bastard is the man I should kill?" I asked and turned my head to Rhysand whi gave me a look that said ' no'.
„ Why? He looks like some bitch that I could teach a lesson." Feyre smiled proudly at me.
„ Keep your mouth shut, whore." Keir growled, killing me with his gaze but I couldn't bring myself to give a fuck.
„ He is the one you will fight." Man from crowd stepped on and I looked at him.
He was an Illyrian but his wings were chopped.
„ Chop off her wings." Keir said roon went dark for a second.
„ Don't you dare to touch her." Cassian growled from behind me, Keir smirked.
„ A bastard spoke! Get in the fight woman!" he yelled, I looked at Rhysand.

Take a win Naerys. Save your family.

They will hurt my family if I die?

Yes.

Feyre answered and I looked at the man who stood few steps before thw crowd.

„ If I win I want a new sword." I said and when I walked down few stairs man looked me up and down.

„ Are you gonna fight in dress?" he asked and crowd stepped back to sides of hall so someone wouldn't got hurt.
„ I will kill you if you ruin them." I smiled sweetly and I stepped with my sword already attacking.
He stepped back almost knocking himself on ground.
„ Does he even know how ro fight?" I asked, Keir looked at the man and smirked.
„ Oh, he knows."
Man run to me I tossed my sword around and cut him on the arm, he hissed when I turned around.
It was like dance he never touched me and I circled around.

„ Stop playing games!" he growled and tried to stab me but I managed to protect myself and our swords met, horrible sound of crashing swords surounded whole hall, I smirked.
„ I don't win by playing your games." I took few steps to left and he went crashing his sword against mine with swings.
„ I win by making you play mine" I took step to right he didn't notice and I stabbed him in stomach, he gasped and kneeled, grabbing my sweet. He looked up at me with watery eyes.
„ Try not to bleed on the floor." I tossed my sword out of him with single move.
I looked at him and for second at Rhysand, his eyes never leaving me.
„ Last words?"
„ A fox may change its skin but never personality, Naerys." I swinged my sword with one single move before his head fell on groun I dropped my sword on ground and bowed.
„ I hope you enjoyed the play."
I turned around and walked out leaving whole court in shock.

Good play, Naerys.

Oh was it?

I saw shadows touching my arm and scented his presence I turn my head to Shadowsinger looking at me walking up to me.
„ You looked like you were dancing with him."
„ He didn't have a good technique for fighting."
„ Keir thinks you have a magic."
Does he? I raised an eyebrow at him.
„ Keir can fuck his thinking into small box of shits. I don't give a damn."
„ Do you want my opinion?"
I smirked „ No, I have my own."
Shadowsinger looked like I just punched him in the face and I smiled.
„ Why is that? When a man gives someone opinion, he's a man.
But when a woman gives  her opinion, she's a bitch."
„ Maybe you are acting like one?"
„ Rhysand told me to act heartless I did and I did it good. Don't you know it best of them all, spymaster?"
he smirked shadows dancing between us and his hazel eyes wandered up and down my body.
„ You have blood on your dresses."
he spoke with something dark in his voice and I looked down, bottom of my dresses were covered in red color called, blood.
It didn't bother me that much because I already killed him so I couldn't kill him another time for getting his blood on my dresses.
„ Rhysand didn't ask you to be an Commander of Night court just to piss of Cassian he asked you because he wanted to know how loyal are you."
„ So why am I here for real?"
„ I won't tell you till Rhysand give me permission to t-" he stopped mid sentence. I saw that he nodded.
„ Rhysand keeps you here for your fighting skills. He thinks you are not just an Illyrian."
„ So what am I?" he stayed quiet few seconds.
„ That he doesn't exactly know but he remembers seeing you on battlefield he saw something. I don't know what he saw but it wasn't just an Illyrian woman."
„ And what do you think?"
he didn't answer for a few seconds and I thought he won't, but he spoke and his response got me thinking.

„ Hungry dogs are never loyal."
