Riley’s P.O.V

“Niall?” I asked, as I saw him leaning against the side of my jeep, a smile plastered on his face. “What are you doing here?” I questioned, as all the clues the started to make click.

“Well I realized that we haven’t actually gone on a real date, so I was wondering if you would accompany me on one.” He asked, his confidence dropping a bit when I stood there shocked.  “I mean if you don’t want to I understand.” He mumbled the last bit.

“Niall James, I would love to go on a date with you! I’m sorry I was just shocked. ” I told him feeling the heat rise to my cheeks.  I hugged him as he opened the passenger side door, and I carefully got in, trying to avoid hitting my knee on the door, or with my luck rip my new dress.  I watched as he carefully backed out of the mall and got on to the road, biting his bottom lip.

“Where are we going?” I asked, watching as the green scenery passed by my window.

“You’ll see Ri.” He told me with a smirk. He flipped the radio on and I observed as his smile as it seemed to grow as the beginning beat of I’m Yours by The Script came on. He gently grabbed my hand as he sang along with it, singing it to me. The song came to an end as Niall pulled into a parking lot, looking around I noticed a huge red and white stripped tent and it clicked we were at a carnival.

“I know it’s not much but I have more planed tonight I promise.” He told me as I hoped out of the car, careful not to rip the dress I had just bought.  I grabbed his hand as we walked to the entrance, once Niall had paid for our tickets we walked to the games and he insisted on winning me a huge bear.  I laughed as Niall’s face screwed up in concentration, his tongue jutting out a bit as the carnie handed him three baseballs and told him he had to knock down the old time milk bottles. I watched amazed as Niall made all of the milk bottles fall down in one shot, looking at the carnies face I realized I wasn’t the only one who was amazed at Niall’s spectacular throw. Niall just smirked at the carnie and I, asking for the huge green bear that rested on the top shelf.  I hugged it tight to my chest trying not to drop it as we walked through the carnival.  I felt my breath get caught in my throat as Niall guided me to the food court. I quickly closed my eyes as a clown came near us, it’s painted face mocking me, making me think back to being six and being forced to watch Steven Kings ‘It’. I squeaked as it tried to approach us, I felt like this was the right time to tell Niall of my fear.

“Um Niall you know I love you right? I really don’t want to sound like a bad date, but I am absolutely terrified of clowns, is there any way we could get out of here? Please.” I begged my eyes going wide in fear as Niall’s went wide as what I had said registered with Niall, causing him to curse lightly.

“I’m so sorry princess, had I of know about your fear of clowns I never would have taken you here. I’m sorry I ruined our first date.” He told me mumbling the last part. I looked up at his eye’s watching as sorrow made its self-present in them.

“Niall James Horan, you did not ruin our first date! The night’s still young and I know a dinner that you would love.” I told him with a huge smile as we made our way back to my car, unlocking the door I put Mr. Cuddles, the bear Niall had won me, in the back seat and sat the driver’s seat.  I pulled out of the clown infested area and on to the high way.  We were only on the highway for about twenty minutes before we pulled into an old 50’s themed dinner. I giggled to myself as Niall raised his eyebrow at me. I shrugged my shoulders and walked into the dinner, grabbing Niall’s hand as I did so.  The waitress who greeted us looked to be in her mid to late fifty’s, with a kind old face and long black hair that was neatly braided down her back.
