Mikasa and Eren left soon after you all finished eating. You promptly passed out, not catching Annie come home.

Today you woke up feeling groggy. You couldn't remember what led up to you sleeping but you thanked yourself for making it to your bed so you didn't wake up sore.

You did your usual routine, just without bothering Annie since she had class earlier than you on Tuesdays. Before leaving though, you decided to pack a bowl and smoke, leaving you feeling ready to take on the day.

Now you sat in your Biology class, listening to Professor Hange greet students as they walked in. You were early as usual. In this class, you liked to sit all the way in the back corner by a window. It was the best place to avoid being involuntarily called on by Hange.

You were hyper focused on a ladybug crawling on a bush outside. Blinking slowly, your body melted into your seat. You tuned out everything around you.

The beats of your heart grew faster though, there was someone beside you. Their presence gives you anxiety since you usually sit alone in this class. Of all the seats open, why did they decide to sit right by you?

Lifting your head up, you turned to the disturbance with a bored expression.

There he was, the golden boy himself.

Armin's eyes widened at your expression. "Sorry, did you not want me to sit here?"

You replaced your mean face with a more welcoming one and smiled. "No, I just had my guard up, but hi. Never thought I'd see you again to be honest. Have you always been in this class?"

Armin smiled back at you. "Yeah, I just did all the assignments online while I was away."

"Ohh you studied in Rome over the summer and for the first semester right?" You recall.

Armin nods. "Correct. How'd you know?"

You shrugged your shoulders. "I'm a good listener I guess."

Which wasn't a lie. No one really ever told you anything. They just spoke freely around you assuming you wouldn't remember anything. Their mistake.

You sighed and put your head down. You begin to regret smoking in the morning. All you wanted to do now was sleep.

"Tired?" Armin asks.

"You wouldn't know the half of it." You mumble.

Armin doesn't say anything and turns to the front as Hange begins the lesson, letting you drift off to sleep.

Time went by like the blink of an eye. Armin tapped your shoulder, causing you groan. You lift your head up and scan the lecture hall, everyone was gone. Including Professor Hange. You turned to Armin who smiled sheepishly.

"Um- I would've woken you up sooner, but you looked comfortable."

You stared at him, processing everything. It definitely didn't feel like you've been asleep for long. You looked at the space in front of him, notebooks and laptop on the table, headphones hung around his neck.

"Oh god, how long did I make you wait?" You begin to panic, searching for your phone to check the time.

He placed a hand on your shoulder "Not long, I promise. I don't have class until later so I don't mind at all."

He meant it too. Studying with you beside him in a vulnerable state helped him focus in a weird way.

"Let's get out of here." You say as you start gathering your things. "I don't wanna be here any longer than I have to."
