Ko narrates
Hey everyone! I'm Ko. Let me tell you something about myself. I am 14 years old, I live only with my mother, and during the summer I work at her boyfriend's shop, together with my friends. About my father...well...it's more complicated. I can only say that it is a more complicated subject for me. Anyway. Now I'm in the car with my mom and we're heading to school. The road is quite but that is completely normal. The only sound that can be heard in the car is the sound of music.I walked for 15 minutes until I stopped in front of the school where I saw Dandy, my friend, waiting for me.
I get out of the car to greet her.
Ko: Dandy! Hey! Dandy and I are very good friends. We became friends during the summer and then realized we were in the same class.
Dandy: Hey Ko. I'm glad to see you.
Ko: I couldn't wait to see you.
Dandy: Really? She says a little confused but with a hint of happiness in her voice.
Ko: Yes! I missed you.
Dandy: But Ko, we met a week ago. But anyway, I missed you too. Anyway. Have you heard the latest news?
You could read the confusion on my face. a news? What news?
Ko: What are you talking about Dandy? What news? Dandy looked at me confused
Dandy: Didn't you hear? I shake my head disapprovingly. Well, then I'll tell you. They say a new boy is coming to our school.
Ko: SERIOUSLY!? This is amazing! I say with a big smile on my face. I can't wait to meet him.
Dandy: Well don't be. I heard it's really bad.
Ko:Dandy you can't judge someone without knowing them first. Maybe he is a good person. And if it's not all he wants me to be his friend.
Dandy: Ko what I heard about him sounds very bad, I don't think you should hang around him. He doesn't want to do anything to you.
I roll my eyes smiling a little.
Ko: Ohh come on Dandy, how bad can it be?
Dandy: Too bad!
Ko: Dandy. I'm going to try to be friend with him whether you like it or not. I can't avoid it. If the rest of the class thinks the same as you then he will be ostracized by everyone and that sounds terrible. I'm going to prove you wrong.
Dandy looks at me in defeat as she sighs.
Dandy: Ok Ko, just promise me you'll take care.
Ko: Mhm, sure
Our conversation is interrupted by the sound of the bell announcing that classes have started, so Dandy and I start walking to class.
When we arrive, he puts us on the benches and we wait for the teacher to arrive.
teacher: Hello everyone. How are you good? Me too. So, I have someone to introduce to you. You can enter.
Everyone turns to the door and a boy with long hair appears, wearing a bracelet with spikes on both hands. It was like when you look at him the first thing that comes to mind is "emo". Everyone was looking at him. Some were looking at him and whispering different things, and others were looking at him with fear, but Ko was looking at him smiling and full of excitement.
teacher: Can you introduce yourself to the class?
The boy looked at the bored teacher and then turned his gaze to his new classmates.
Tko: My name is Tko and... ummm... Excuse me, but do I really have to do this? he said looking at the teacher.
teacher: Hmmm... no, but...
Tko: Okay. Then can you tell me where I will stay?
Teacher: Well, umm... sure...
The teacher looks around the class to see who doesn't have a bankmate.
Ko: He can sit next to me. Ko said excitedly as the rest of the class looked at him in surprise, even Tko looked at him surprised that someone wanted to sit next to him. The teacher smiles.
Teacher: Great! Tko can you sit next to Ko. I'm sure you two will get along very well.
Tko didn't say anything, he just walked over to Ko and sat down.
Ko: Hello! I'm Ko! Nice to meet you.
Tko didn't answer but just looked at him then quickly looked away.
Ko's mind: Um ok... maybe he doesn't really like to talk, but I won't give up. I'm sure I'll be able to become friends with him.
