Stella Berkshire
I woke up at 6, heading downstairs to the bathroom. I took a quick body shower, before putting on my robe and heading back to my room.

I sat at my vanity, styling my hair in loose curls, clipping my hair out of my face. I apply some light makeup consisting of some concealer, blush, highlighter, mascara, and some brow gel. I threw on a simple outfit consisting of some light-wash ripped jeans, a white pair of Converse, and a brown cropped tank top.

I threw on some Sol De Janeiro 68' body spray before putting it in my bag and applying some Summer Fridays lip balm before grabbing my backpack and making my way downstairs. I walked into the kitchen, sighing in relief when I realized that no one was downstairs yet and that I could make breakfast in peace. Now don't get me wrong, I love the Walters, but everyone needs their peace sometimes.

I began making myself breakfast and a cup of coffee. I grabbed a plain bagel and put it into the toaster. I grabbed my Stanley and filled it with ice water, putting it with my bag by the door. My bagel finished toasting, putting it on a plate, I grabbed some cream cheese, spreading it evenly on both halves of the bagel.

Once I finish eating my bagel, I put ice in my Starbucks cup, pouring the espresso over it. I put in some Carmel syrup and added some creamer. I take my coffee and sit at the counter drinking my coffee while scrolling my phone. Eventually, everyone else joins me in the kitchen, all of us talking about school starting.

I heard loud footsteps on the stairs and turned in my seat to see Cole emerging from the doorway. He still looks half asleep, hair a mess on top of his head. "Morning sleepyhead. Want some coffee?" I asked, laughing softly. "Mmm, can I just have some of yours?" He asked, sitting down next to me, almost falling asleep on my shoulder.

"Sure Cole, I'm done with it anyways," I said, handing him my half-empty iced coffee. He drank it slowly, head still on my shoulder. About 20 minutes later, we left the house, all of us piling into the station wagon. I was sat in the front, seated between Cole and Danny, me having aux. after about 15 minutes, we pulled into the parking lot. Cole began speaking, and I zoned out a little. "OK, we have a full car today. Issac, that means no offering rides to random cheerleaders. Ok? Hey, we leave at 3:30 sharp ok. HEY. 3:30 sharp or you'll get left behind. I mean it" he said, as everyone got out of the car and made their way towards the entrance of the school.

I sat in my seat for a few moments linger than everyone else, mentally preparing myself for starting at a new school. I sat there for a second before Cole interrupted my thoughts. "Hey, it'll all be good Stella. Plus I will be with you the whole day so you have nothing to worry about, I promise." He reassured me, before holding out his pinky, me locking mine with his. He pulled his hand away, instead moving to crab my backpack and putting it over his shoulder before pulling me out of the car with his free hand. "You know I can carry my own bag right?" I asked, laughing at Cole's sweet gesture. "Oh trust me princess, I know you can." Princess. God I think my crush is coming back. No forget thinking, it has came back.

We begin walking into school, Cole's arm going around my waist, his thumb hooking itself in my jeans belt loop. I saw a bunch of people staring at me.

I mean why wouldn't they. Pretty new girl, in a small town, with Cole Walter carrying my bag with his arm around my waist. I leaned up slightly, whispering in Cole's ear "everyone is staring at us." "Let them" he replied, smiling at me.

We walked into the school, Cole showing me around a bit. "So first class of the day is social studies, but it's pretty easy" Cole said, attempting to ease my nerves. Which I will admit, did calm me down a little. We went into the classroom, sitting down towards the back of the classroom. The desks were two people tables, so I sat next to Cole. I began anxiously bouncing my leg up and down, feeling very anxious at the current moment. Cole must have noticed this though, because he placed his right hand on my upper left thigh, giving it a light squeeze and rubbing comforting circles.

After a few seconds, he flipped his hand so his palm was facing upwards. He motioned to my hand, me getting the hint. I grabbed his hand, and began playing with his fingers and rings, an old habit I had when I was younger.

When it was finally time for class to start, the teacher began speaking. "Good morning class, I trust you all had a good first weekend of school. We also have a new student joining us today. Stella, if you don't mind just saying a little about yourself. Don't worry, you don't have to stand up if you don't want to." The teacher said, looking to be in her mid 20's. From my seat, I began speaking. "Um, hi I'm Stella Berkshire. I just moved here from Cali and I'm living with the Walters since Katherine is my godmother. And I like a lot of art and reading. That's about it though". I finished, finally taking a deep breath again. "So Stella, what brings you to silver falls?" The teacher asked, sounding very nice and welcoming.

"You sure you're ok to say this?" Cole asked me, not wanting me to be uncomfortable. "It's all good. I actually moved here because my mom passed away from cancer. But I am fortunate enough to be able to live with my second family, and live in my favorite place besides Cali. And do not feel bad, I would rather focus on the positives and live life like my mom would want me to rather than dwell on what I can't change." I finished, everyone looking at me in awe. They all began clapping, catching me off guard a little. "Thank you so much for sharing that with us Stella. I think I speak for most of us when we say we are glad you are here to bless us with your prescence." I smiled, before she began class. It was pretty easy, since it's only the second official week of school and the first week had all just been syllabuses. Thankfully our only homework was to write a one page essay about someone who has impacted our lives.

Our next class was psychology. It was so fun. We talked about the effects of phones on our mental health and well being. I definitely think I am gonna like psychology. After that, we went about our day until lunch. Come lunch time, me and Cole got lunch, him paying for me. We went and sat with his friends, Erin looking a little skeptical of how close Cole was to me. After Cole explained I was a family friend from when we were younger, she eased up a bit. The rest of the day went normal until we got home.

First longer chapter! Expect most to be about this length. Also in this version, Erin doesn't like Cole, she will like Danny. However, Erin still is concerned about Cole and who he gets close with.
