It's been so long since you felt so close to the water, so close to be healed, so much time since you felt...just like home.

Neuvillette is too busy today, there is a trial this afternoon and he got some paperworks to do this morning, so he can't help you. It's okay thought, you need to find Aether and finally learn self-defence, this is the perfect occasion.

The point is, it will be really hard to find him, Fontaine is a big city and he could be in the Fortress too or travelling out of the city, underwater, anywhere actually, so you decide to start with the Fortress first.

Every time you see someone, you try your luck and ask if they saw the duo, most of the times they don't, otherwise it's false information.

Unfortunately, you spent the entire day looking for him, in vain, it's okay you think, he is busy and you just have to keep looking, you'll try again tomorrow.

What you didn't expected, was the same result for en ENTIRE WEEK.

At this point, you gave up, this is the eight day and even if the afternoon only just began, you just can't any more, you're too tired of walking, asking everyone where they are, looking, etc. As a last effort, you decide to go in the Palais Mermonia and melt on Neuvillette's comfy couch in his office.

He is not inside right now, probably to a trial, you don't really care you just want to stop moving for once.

You fall face first on the pillow, groaning and not moving an inch any more, it's so frustrating to look for only ONE person for a full week and just give up in the end.

With your eyes closed, you really notice how much these day were tiring, you knew that you are tired, but not that much, adding the fact that the pillow and couch are so comfy, you don't last too long before falling asleep.

When you open your eyes again, you notice that you are covered by a blanket and hear some handwriting on paper, before it stopped and is replaced by footsteps.

"Good evening, did you sleep well ?"

You sat up and rub your eyes, then notice that your ribbon has come off, probably since a while now, your hair is a mess and some of them come in front of your face.

"Neuvillette ? What time is it ?"

"Probably around 2 or 3 am."

Okay now you are fully awake.

"What ?! But why you didn't woke me up ?!"

"I tried but you didn't cooperate, so I let you rest here instead."

"I... I'm sorry..."

"Please, don't be."

He sits down next to you.

"Can you tell me what's troubling you instead ?"

"Is it that obvious ..?"

"As far as I know, you don't come to my office to take a nap, and you really looked tired, like I said, I couldn't wake you up."

You sight and laugh at this absurd situation.

"It's dumb, really, I was looking for Aether this all week but it's just impossible, I can't find him anywhere and I looked everywhere a lot of times, he is just... not here when I try to see him."

"I see, I'm glad to see that you considered what I told you."

"I guess... but it's impossible I don't know what else I can do."
