Chapter Two

4 months

Lorenzo's pov:

"I'm sorry" Sky sobs, her hands covering her face. "It's okay Amore" I whisper, leaning down to pick up the last of the glass. "I just wanted orange juice" she mumbles her voice cracking. "Baby it's okay" I reassure, grabbing some paper towel to clean up the juice.

Another sob fills the room as I clean up the last of the juice. Standing I throw the paper towel in the bin before pulling Sky into a hug. Her body shakes with another sob.

"Do you still want juice?" I ask pulling away and moving her hands from her face. She nods, keeping her head low. I place a kiss to her forehead as I pick her up and place her on the countertop.

Turning around I grab a fresh cup from the cupboard and pour her another one. She sniffles behind me, a small sob following. Placing the carton in the fridge, I turn around and pass her the cup.

She stares at it for a moment, her free hand wiping away her tears. "Thanks" she mumbles, not daring to look at me. Gently I place my thumb under her chin and lift her head up.

"What's wrong?" I ask and she shrugs, "I just cried over spilling juice" she states her face red from both crying and embarrassment. "Baby, your body is going through a lot of changes " I mumble wiping away another tear. "There's no need to be embarrassed" I whisper giving her a small smile.

She gives me a small smile before taking a sip of the juice. Her face lights up instantly and I chuckle, "better?" I ask and she nods. She downs the last of her juice and slides off the counter back to her happy self.

But just as fast as her smile appeared it disappears and a frown tugs at her lips, "what's wrong?" I ask and she looks up at me. "I feel like there's something we're meant to do today but I can't remember what" she says, trying her best to think.

"Doctor's appointment at noon?" I ask and her face lights up again. "That's it" she says cheerfully, clapping her hands. I laugh and lean down, placing a kiss on her cheek. Her smile grows and I couldn't help but smile myself. "Okay I'm going to get ready" she says pushing me away and exiting the kitchen.

"And there is your baby" the lady states, causing us both to look at the screen ahead. Sky's grip on my hand tightens as a smile tugs at my lips. We watch as our baby moves around, kicking although Sky can't feel it.

"I'm going to cry" Sky mumbles and before I can say anything our baby accidentally punches themself in the face causing us both to laugh. The nurse laughs and turns back to us. "I'll go get your print outs" she says before turning the machine off and exiting the room.

I look back at Sky and notice her teary eyes are already on me. I lean down and place a kiss to her lips, she kisses me back instantly. I pull away and Sky fixes her shirt before sitting up. We gather our things and head for the exit not long after the nurse passes us the printed out pictures and confirms the next appointment.

"Can we get Ice cream?" Sky asks as she slides into the passengers seat. "Sure baby" I say starting the car and pulling out of the carpark. "Ooo wait can we get fries?" She asks turning in her seat to face me, "if you want" I reply glancing at her.

"Wait can we get both?" She asks her voice eager. I laugh, "yes" I reply a smile on my lips. It only gets bigger when sky does a little happy dance in her seat, her hands clapping in-front of her.
