Ghostclaw and Wavepelt were heading on over to the Crystal-pond, the dark of the night didn't blind Ghostclaw but the sorrow of losing his leader, everyone was upset about Moonstar's passing but. No one expected it to happen so soon. A glimmer of the Crystal-pond lighend Ghostclaws vision he walked closer to the pool, He looked at Wavepelt who nodded and Ghostclaw looked down at the Crystal-pond, he leaded down letting the clear water touch his nose, darkness swept his vision and reappeared with him in a lush clearing, three cats around him. Ghoststar saw Starstar, Stardust, and Moonstar. Starstar walked up to Ghostclaw.
"I give you this life for strength, protect you clan with all your strength." Stardust toughed noses with Ghostclaw and then padded back to his spot. Moonstar walk up to Ghostclaw.
"I give you this life for leadership, use this to lead your clan with all your smarts." Moonstar purred touching noses with Ghostclaw. And then Starstar walked over to Ghostclaw.
"I give you 7 more lives, Love, caring, skill, swiftness, mentoring, reason, and Bravery, use them wisely Ghoststar," Starstar dipped her head at Ghoststar and padded away.
"Ghoststar! Ghoststar! Ghoststar!" The three Starclan cats chanted. Ghoststar was ready to be sent to the real world but Moonstar padded up to him.
"Grave danger is coming to Moonclan and Sunclan..." Moonstar mewed.
"What..?"
"You and your kin were born with the skills to care and hunt, fight with strength, and lead and observe. You will need to save two clans of good from the bad.." Moonstar said, the dream faded away but in the darkness he was three stars, one was green, one was ghost-blue, and the other was blue, the same eye colors of him and his kin! The stars faded away and Ghoststar woke up by the pond. There was one last whisper from Moonstar. And.. Buddy is ready to be a warrior... Ghoststar looked at Wavepelt, his eyes confused about what Seaclan and Infernoclan were up to.
"You alright?" Wavepelt asked.
"Yah.." Ghoststar said.
"Did you get your lives?" Wavepelt asked.
"I did," Ghoststar said. Ghoststar waited a few seconds and on their way back to camp Ghoststar explained to Wavepelt the prophecy. Once they arrived back at camp the clan welcomed them.
"Welcome back!" Flametail said.
"Ghoststar is back!" Mapleleaf yelled. Cottonwing and Bluestrike ran over to Ghoststar purring. And Snowfrost walked out also, looking at Ghoststar with pride but on the inside he could tell that she was weak. Ghoststar padded up to the Moonrock and called the clan over, it didn't take long as all the apprentices and warriors gathered around to hear what he had to say.
"The ceremony was successful!" Wavepelt announced, the clan cheered with pride. Wavepelt flicked her tail, silencing the clan so Ghoststar could speak.
"I have good news and bad news, first with the good news, Moonstar has requested that I announce a new warrior! Buddy, step forward!" Ghoststar mewed. Buddy's eyes filled with excitement looking at his friend Scoutpaw, he jumped forward to the middle of the clearing.
"I Ghoststar, call my warrior ancestors. This apprentice has worked hard to learn your way, although he is a non-cat he is ready to be announced as a full warrior of Moonclan," Ghoststar said looking at the sky, and then looked down at Buddy. "Buddy, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect your clan till your last breath?" Ghoststar asked.
"I do!" Buddy barked.
"Then with the power of Starclan you shall be known as Buddyfang!in honor of your bravery and strength." Ghoststar said.
"Buddyfang! Buddyfang! Buddyfang!" The Clan chanted except for Scoutpaw who was chanting "Buddy".
"And now for the bad news," Ghoststar hesitated. "There will be three cats who are born with a natural skill, they will save Sunclan and Moonclan from danger." Ghoststar said, looking at his litter mates. The clan gasped in horror, Cottonwing and Bluestrike just looked at each other nervously.
"What about Seaclan and Infernoclan!?" Woodleaf exclaimed.
"That's what I fear, I think they are the dangers to Sunclan and us." Ghoststar said.
"He has a point.." Bluestrike said. "They did take one of Moonstars lives and took my fathers life.."
"Yah! Seaclan and Infernoclan must be up to something!" Flametail hissed
"They are the only clan that has attacked us.." Woodleaf said.
"What are we going to do?" Pumppaw mewed.
"Well, first... the three cats should know who they are and... at the upcoming gathering we will need to keep a close eye on Seaclan and Infernoclan." Ghoststar said. "And the three cats! If you are here please, tell us who you are when you are ready!"
Ghoststar looked at his kin, he dismissed the clan and walked over to his litter mates. To talk to them.
"We need to talk privately," Ghoststar whispered, looking left to right.
"Yes, thank you for not telling the clan right away," Cottonwing said nervously. Her tail tip twitching.
"Come into my den," Ghoststar said. Bluestrike nodded and they walked over together into the leader's den, there was a nest with three feathers, one was light pink, one was dark blue, and one was light gray with a black stripe. Cottonwing looked at the pink feather intently, Bluestrike seemed to know what ever Cottonwing was thinking and grabbed the pink feather and fastened it into her ear, Cottonwing Did the same for Ghoststar and Bluestrike, putting a matching feather into their ear.
"So cute!" Cottonwing purred.
"Yes, now. What about the prophecy..?" Ghoststar asked.
"Well... we should first find out what Infernoclan is planning.." Bluestrike said.
"Or we could talk to Sunstar and tell her about the warning so she can keep and eye on Seaclan, maybe she knows something..?" Cottonwing said.
"Good idea, you two can go. I will need you later to talk to Sunstar." Ghoststar said. Ghoststar walked out of the den after his kin and then sat down watching his clan to see who his next deputy would be. Flametail is cunning... Ghoststar thought. Mapleleaf is smart... But Oakfall... Oakfall was both. Ghoststar thought.
Sunfall came fast and the hunting patrol was sent out, it was time for the new deputy to be named.
"Let all cats old enough to swim the lake meet below the Moonrock for a clan meeting!" Ghoststar called, the warriors and apprentices walked over.
"It is time I choose a new deputy!" Exited murmurs rippled the camp. Ghoststar flicked his tail, silencing the clan.
"Oakfall, do you promise to serve your clan till your last breath?" Ghoststar asked.
"I do!" Oakfall purred.
"Then by the powers of Starclan! I announce you as Moonclans new deputy! May Starclan approve my chose." Ghoststar said. The clan cheered for Oakfall, Cottonwing ran over to her mate and congratulated him by rubbing he head under his chin.
"And before I dismiss you all, Me, Cottonwing, Bluestrike, and Oakfall are heading over to Sunclan to tell them Starclan's warning. I ask Mapleleaf to be incharge while we are gone." Ghoststar said.
"Don't worry, I will." Mapleleaf meowed.
"Thank you, clan dismissed." Ghoststar said, jumping off the Moonrock and heading over to Oakfall and Cottonwing.
