Suki sighed, throwing her head back, blonde hair flying, and closing her sky blue eyes. It was another day at the castle just like any other. Same fights… same beatings…usually either by her foster father, Ryuu, or her eternal rival and best friend, Mitsuki Hayden.
Two words: So. Very. Lovely.
The teenage blonde stood from her seat on a window sill, wincing as pain shot through her legs.
Dammit, Furball! You’re supposed to be healing me! She snapped mentally. Her real foster father, Hideharu, had a telepathic connection with her, as did her brother. The first would heal her wounds, give her tips and pointers, and throw in sarcastic or perverted comments that made her seethe. Said demon was now currently laughing and jeering at her misery.
Tough luck, Kit. I’m a demon. Not a miracle worker. Next time, don’t beat yourself up too bad. Although, you should at least try aiming for her face next time.
I did!
Could’ve fooled me.
Suki growled. Shut up. The Kitsune merely chuckled in response before fading back into the depths of her mind. The girl unleashed a string of curses before taking her first few steps…then falling flat on her face. Well, she thought. This is gonna take a while.
Her next attempt to stand was a bit more successful: she managed to remain standing for more than ten seconds. Letting out a hiss of clear annoyance, she bit down on her lip, willing her legs to obey her commands. Dammit, legs STAND!
“Hmm? What’s this?”
Suki, who was lying on her back now, looked behind her to see a tall boy behind her. No, not a boy. He was.... what? Eighteen? Nineteen? Older than her, anyway.
She narrowed her eyes. He looked familiar. Rolling to her stomach she looked up at him. He had long chocolate brown hair that was down to the base of his neck and long bangs that fell over his icy emerald green eyes. His skin was deathly pale and he wore an unzipped high collared dark vest over a red long sleeved shirt with black leather pants and boots. He had fingerless gloves encasing his hands and several piercings on his left ear. He let out a dangerous aura.... a demon aura.
The new guy crouched down and smirked. “Need help?”
A vein ticked on Suki’s forehead. “No thank you,” she said, smiling sweetly, “I can handle myself.”
“Could’ve fooled me.”
Argh! This guy is exactly like Hideharu! I thought one goddamn-whoknowswhat was enough! “Yea? Oh well. Now move.” Suki climbed onto her knees and slowly stood. She wobbled, her legs still refused to support her. Then, suddenly, she felt someone grab her by the waist and lift her up. She flinched, unnerved by being touched. Shrieking at the sudden gain of altitude, she grabbed onto whatever was the closest solid thing...The boy's head.
She heard a muffled grunt as he was clearly not expecting the bone crushing embrace. Suki looked down at her captive and met the man's blue eyes. Neither moved. Neither made a sound. They just stared at each other ignoring the minutes ticking by.
Kit, either kiss him and get knocked up, or get off. You have no idea how many ideas this image creates.
This snapped Suki out of her stupor. She pushed against the man and jumped off. This time, Hideharu helped her and she was able to stand somewhat steadily.
