Suki sighed, sinking back into the soft mattress. Oh bed, I will love you forever.
So now you’re talking to inanimate objects. How… Unique.
Oh shut it. Don’t you have anything better to do than insult me?
No not really.
Suki laughed. He probably had paperwork stacked like a mountain on his desk. Being the Kitsune King wasn’t easy. Although he was an arrogant bastard, he was perfect for the job. With his demanding tone and expectant attitude, no one dared to defy him.
She sat back up and looked towards her maid as the girl entered. Anci smiled. “Princess, you must get dressed and meet His Majesty downstairs in the common room.”
“Ooooh yeah… I have to meet some colleague of his or something.” She sighed. “Troublesome troublesome.” She watched as Anci lay out the dress she would have to wear out on the bed and winced. It looked extremely tight uncomfortable. It was definitely gorgeous with silky ocean blue material and lavender stitches. It was adorn with orange sapphires and small diamonds. It fell to the floor smoothly and she frowned, preferring knee length or shorter. The sleeves were long and tight and would only reach her elbows.
Well, she thought, at least it’s not pink and fluffy with bunnies on it.
“Oh that’s right!” Anci exclaimed. She ran to the wardrobe and rummaged through, finally emerging with a silver tiara decorated with pink diamonds and pink feather at the corner. Suki’s eye twitched while Hideharu was laughing hard enough to possibly explode.
Shut up! She snapped. You're a jacked up jackass, you know that?!
Coming from you, I’ll take that as a compliment. He laughed harder at her dismayed expression.
“Lady Suki? What's wrong?” Anci tilted her head and looked at her questioningly.
Do you really want me to tell you?! There are so many, the list would continue for centuries to come!
And more!
And MORE!
“Princess?”
Suki snapped to attention and crossed her arms, scowling. “There is no way I’m wearing that!”
“B-But Lord Ryuu picked it out specially for you!”
I should have known. Of course Ryuu would have picked out something he knew I would hate. She sighed but instantly brightened. She had a fool proof plan.
Oh Inari... What are you—Ah.
Yup! Watch and learn, Furball!
She grabbed the dress and a can of black dye from her prank closet then ran into the bathroom that was opposite her bed on the other side of the room. Anci figured out her plan fairly quickly but said nothing, merely smiling humorously. By the time the blonde emerged from the bathroom, the maid was long gone.
Suki was now wearing the dress that had changed dramatically. In place of blue, it was now jet black with the sleeves being replaces with black fishnets. The orange sapphires are all that remained of the original. It was also now much shorter, the hem reaching down to just above her knees. She pulled on a pair of black stilettos and threw the tiara in the trash.
