Part 9 - Truth

*jacksepticeye POV*

Do I like Nicki? I haven't really thought about it that much, I mean, there's so much that I don't know about her. I know basic Information, like where she's from and how her mum died, but I didn't know that she was 'low' before this.

I guess you're wondering how I know this?

Earlier today

I'm leaning on a tree in the outside grass area, when Mark walks up to me. I'm just thinking. I know that Mark likes Nicki, I mean, really likes, but do I? Was it just jealousy or something or just a sense of hope?

Mark sits In front of me with sad eyes, crossed legged. We sit in silence for a minute or two, I guess he's trying to think on what he's going to say. He opens his mouth to talk when we get interrupted by Wade and Ken, who come running towards us. I grunt quietly. I wanted to know what Mark was going to tell me.

"Hey guys! We've missed you at a few gaming lessons. What's that about?" Asks Wade, with his hands on his hips.

Mark looks at them with dead eyes. That's strange? He gets up and walks towards the sleeping blocks. Is he ignoring them or something?

"What's that about?" I ask the two men, towering over me as I sit against the old oak tree. They both shrug in unison. Mark has been acting really strange lately, like he's not talking to anyone except Nicki.

I should ask Nicki.

"Sorry guys, I have to run. I'll see you later." I say out of the blue, getting up and running to the sleeping blocks.

I stand outside of Nicki's room and take in a deep breath.

Knock knock knock

Nicki answers the door straight away, like she was expecting someone. She looks at me with confused eyes.

Probably not me she was expecting!

"Sorry Jack. I was expecting Mark to come over. Errr. Come in I guess." She says and I enter her room. It's quite a nice setup. Posters everywhere and a good PC.

"Hey Nicki." I say quietly. She turns to look at me and she has worried eyes.

"What's up?" She asks, setting her left hand on my shoulder, making me shiver a little.

"What's up.. With Mark I mean?" I ask as I stare at the floor. Her eyes go wide.

"You don't know?" She asks shocked, her mouth legit falling on the floor. Now I'm confused.

"Know what? What's happened Nicki?" I ask loudly.

"Mark's dad, he's... Dead." She says quietly. What. Mark's dad, he's dead? This... This can't be happening!

I look at the floor, trying to hide the tears falling down my cheeks. Nicki lifts up my chin and wipes away the tears. She gives me a small smile.

I now know. I like Nicki. I mean... Really like Nicki.

I push my lips onto hers, and give her a soft kiss. It was short and sweet, but it was perfect.

She looks at me with shock in her eyes.

"I thought you didn't like me..." She said quietly with sad eyes, looking forwards the floor.

"What? Of course I like you! What did you think that kiss before meant?" I ask, my voice trembling as I'm still upset.

"I dunno. I just thought it was a dare from the guys or something." She says quietly, tears forming in her eyes. She tries to hide them but I wipe them away.

"No. Nicki I really like you, and I.. I... I want more." I say, my cheeks burning bright red. This is the second time I've asked out a girl. The first time didn't really end up well. Long story short, I asked her out and she punched me in the nose, breaking it. Fun times!

Nicki stares up at me with a smile on her face, but her eyes still wet with tears. She nods, telling me that she wants more too. I grab her chin and kiss her soft lips. She kisses me back, deepening the kiss. She wraps her arms around my neck and I wrap my arms around her waist, deepening the kiss further. She breaks the kiss and gives me a huge smile. I smile back.

I guess she's my girlfriend.
