The twins meet Ada! (Part 1)

It was a great morning. Keyword being was. Chuuya was freaking out.

FLASHBACK

Hikaru and Hikari looked as adorable as always. Hikaru in his cute little kimono and Hikari in her Western three piece suit with shorts. Chuuya's day always brightened up whenever he saw his little angels.

Luca and Lucius had been over for breakfast and took Aya and Q to school for him. Even Kayate came to his office to see him today at work. Chuuya smiled and stroked Aoki's neck. The dog licked his hand and playfully bit him.

Hikaru and Hikari had been dropped off at school by Ryuu (the eyebrowless Akutagawa) so he wasn't worried. Life was going well until he got a call.

"What do you mean the twins are gone!?" Chuuya's angry yell resounded through the room as he crushed the table he was holding. "I am coming over right away. Make sure you find them before I get there."

Aoki whined and prowled around Chuuya. "Aoki turn back to normal. Find the twins for me." The dog paused for a bit before kanji surrounded its body, transforming it into a white haired boy.

"Any other orders, Master Chuuya?" The dog, no, Aoki said faintly. His voice was as soft as possible as to not add to the headache that Chuuya was getting.

Chuuya frowned as he massaged his forehead in worry. "Be quick but careful. If you can't handle it, retreat and call me." Aoki gave a little smile, "Of course. I won't disappoint." The boy disappeared with a gust of air from the open window. "I definitely need more painkillers." Chuuya whispered as he leaned against the wall.

IN FRONT OF THE AGENCY
"Onee-sama, are you sure it's here?" "Onii-sama, don't worry. I read the map right." Atsusgi heard whispers as he climbed up the staircase. Two children stood whispering in front of the agency door.

Atsushi sweated nervously as he tried to draw their attention to him. "Hello, um, do you need anything here or are you lost?"  Two pair of large eyes settled on him without blinking.

"Onee-sama, do we have him assist us?" "Onii-sama, seems we must." The child in the kimono turned to Atsushi, "Onee-sama demands you allow us into the armed detective agency at once."

Atsushi paused, 'They sound like a boy, but why is he in a female kimono??" The child in the western suit poked at him, "Onii-sama demands you let us see a Ranpo at once." Atsushi felt tired with their manner of speech. 'However, the child in the male suit sounds like a girl. But it's best to still ask them."

Atsushi takes a deep breath and asks, "What are your names?" The boy in the kimono replies, "I am Hikaru Nakahara. 4 years old." The girl in the suit bows and answers, " I am Hikari Nakahara. 4 years old. Hikari and Hikaru are twins."

Atsushi put on his friendliest smile and opened the door for them, "Welcome to the agency, Hikaru and Hikari. Why don't you chat with everyone inside while we look for Ranpo?"

Hikaru glared at him for a bit before gracefully walking inside whilst Hikari walked behind him with slow but sturdy steps.  'Strange behaviours. I better tell Ranpo then.'

"YOU'RE LATE!!!" Kunikida brandished a book at Atsushi from his desk, not noticing the children in front of him. "Blonde man, where is Ranpo?" The twins grasped his clothes and spoke simultaneously.

Atsushi took off to Ranpo's office while Kunikida was still distracted. Sure enough, Ranpo sat in his chair eating sweets. "Ranpo! A pair of twins came and kept on insisting to meet you but they acted really weird-"

"Shhh. You're overthinking it Atsushi. Just tell me their names.", Ranpo mumbled as he bit into another candy. "Hikaru and Hikari Nakahara." As soon as he finished taking, Ranpo sat up and opened his eyes slowly.

"They're the only biological children of the strongest mafia executive. Now tell me what happens if they went missing and were found at a rival's base?" Atsushi's eyes widened as he realised the implication.

"So someone is trying to frame us for a kidnapping." A voice said right behind Atsushi causing him to jump and scream, "Miss Yosano! You scared me." Yosano pet Atsushi's head as she sat opposite Ranpo.

Ranpo popped out a lollipop, "Correct. But they're looking for someone here. Their other parent." Yosano bonked her fist against her hand, "We can drop them off with the other parent and then even get paid."

The door opened again to an irritated Kunikida and his two new accessories hanging from his necks.

The girl whispered loudly, "The ugly friend was right, Onii-sama." The boy whispers back with the same volume,"Yes, the winged ugly friend was right."

The boy, no, Hikaru smiles creepily, "Ranpo, find our father before the Dog arrives. He'll take us back to mother if he finds us." Ranpo smirks, "What's in it for me?"

The twins have identical twisted expressions as they hold hands and stare at Rampo, "A worthy challenge."
