Bonus: Shrinking Shenanigans

Author's Note: This is a silly trash oneshot I hastily wrote in response to a Tumblr ask about role reversal (the giants becoming tiny). It is non-canon to the story but features the same characters so I thought I'd throw it on here since some of you might get a kick out of it. Enjoy! :)

Joey and Eren wanted to enjoy time with friends, so they invited Ray with his new boyfriend Pedro over to their apartment to hang out and watch a football game together. Eren had a human-sized couch that Joey set on top of the giant coffee table alongside a gigantic spread of oversized snacks. Joey, of course, was careful to keep everything separated so nobody would accidentally get eaten.

Joey wasn't into sports, being the nerd that he was, so he didn't know any of the teams. Ray enjoyed athletics and exercise as a hobby, so he was more impassioned and invested in what was going on in the game. He explained to Joey the intricacies of the team dynamics as he got rowdy over exciting plays and rooted for his favorite team. Eren and Pedro chatted with each other and laughed over their shared experiences that came with living with giants.

Meanwhile, Jackie and Chester were planning to visit Hunter to see how he was doing at his new school. Chester figured Hunter was tough enough to work through his struggles on his own, and needed some independence, but Jackie was worried about her troubled son. She made sure that Chester ate a big breakfast so he wouldn't be tempted to eat anyone before conjuring a portal.

Jackie, preoccupied with her concerns over her son and overwhelmed with fatigue and distress, made a foolish mistake with her portal spell. She accidentally opened the portal in the wrong spot, tethered to where she had sent Chester the last time they went though. Chester hopped through with Jackie, also not aware of the error until it was too late.

The giant materialized above the table, nearly stomping on the two humans with his big boots. He managed to avoid them at the last second, kicking his feet to the side and slamming his knees into the table with a pained groan. As he contorted his body to avoid crushing the humans, he lost his hold on Jackie. She careened through the air with a cry before a different pair of giant hands caught her. Jackie blinked a few times, stunned, before looking up.

She felt a jolt course through her body as a massive face she recognized loomed above her. Ray was the giant that caught her so she didn't get hurt, but she only knew him as the giant who unknowingly ate her alive when she was trapped in a jelly donut. Ray was a gentle giant who wouldn't hurt a fly, but Jackie didn't know that. She panicked, unleashing the only magic she had left to protect herself, her blood magic.

In her desperate haste, the spell went haywire. She only intended to grow herself in self-defense, but the magic ensnared every living body in the room and unleashed total chaos. The hands encompassing Jackie shrank and disappeared as she exploded in size. Pedro and Eren shot up in height, destroying the tiny human couch and knocking over the chips and dip. Chester shrank and fell into the guacamole that spilled on the floor. Joey vanished somewhere in the couch cushions.

At first, nobody understood what had just happened. Eren and Pedro untangled their limbs from each other and stood up, baffled. The room suddenly felt very small. Eren in particular was heavily disoriented, since she hadn't been in a room scaled to her size in years. She sat down on the giant couch, now properly sized to her, and looked around in a daze.

A loud squeaking underneath her bottom made her jump up in shock. She fished between the cushions and pulled out a tiny squirming man by the leg. "J-Joey?" she exclaimed. Joey, barely the length of her pinky finger, flinched away from her deafening voice. "Oh my gosh, Joey!"

Eren set Joey in her palm and cradled her hands around him protectively. Joey fumbled with his glasses, not believing his own eyes. "E-Eren? What happened? Why-" He gaped with astonishment. "You're huge!!"
