It was officially ten days left until summer vacation was over and Naruto had managed to officially make the biggest blunder he's ever made in a relationship, well, second biggest blunder.

The night after almost kissing Sasuke was like a fever dream that he couldn't get out as the scenes of it replayed in his head like a catchy song but each time it changed from Shikamaru catching them, to Gaara, to Kiba and even a giant fox with nine tails.

But the most heartbreaking one to him was when he saw the look in Kiba's eyes. It pained him to see those eyes that once brighten his day were emptied of all emotions simply because he almost cheated on him without any hesitation.

He's been up since the last dream and has been staring at Kiba the whole time. The daylight was beginning to break and he could already hear some of the others starting their day bright and early while the late sleepers stayed in bed.

"I'm so sorry." Naruto mumbled as he looked to Kiba and brushed the hair from his face and trailed his finger across his jaw.

He did really love him, but for some reason his heart wasn't willing to let go of Sasuke either.

"Can't sleep?" Rock Lee mumbled, slightly startling the blonde as he had been awake as well. "Sorry, didn't mean to wake you. I just thought I'd ask since you've been up for so long."

"It's cool. You weren't sleeping?" Naruto asked wondering how long he's been up for.

"No, just some things on my mind lately. Haven't really had time to get a good night rest. So let's just say I know how it feels to have something on your mind."

"..."

"It'll be okay though. Eventually all things will be settled and the after every storm the sun always shines the brightest."

"Thanks Lee." Naruto replied with a smile as he didn't know what he was thinking about or vice versa but his words did make him feel a bit more optimistic about the situation.

"No need to thank me." Lee smiled before standing up and beginning to stretch his limbs. "I'm going out for my daily jog."

"Don't you ever get tired?" Naruto asked. "Constantly exercising, doesn't it ever make you feel exhausted sometimes?"

"Yeah, but physical exhaustion is nothing compared to mental exhaustion. The body can be pushed to great heights and accomplish so much, but the mind is a-lot more complicated and harder to understand."

"I see..."

"Yeah..."

"Well, just like you said to me. The sun always shines after every storm." Naruto encouraged him. "So don't be too hard on yourself Lee, whatever it is that troubles you will soon pass and you'll be rewarded with nothing but happiness."

"Ha, coming from you I really appreciate that Naruto, and I do wish the same for you." Lee smiled brightly before leaving Naruto to his thoughts again, but with his words close in mind.

"After every storm the sun will shine, but for some reason I feel like our storm is still getting a lot cloudier." Naruto mumbled as he looked at Kiba and placed a gentle kiss on the brunette's cheek causing him to shift in his sleep while a goofy smile spread across his face and he spoke in his sleep causing Naruto to chuckle.
