Anne's POV:

I finally pulled myself together and calmed myself after my argument with Henry. It didn't make me feel any better yelling or telling him how I feel. I understand I may not be innocent, I was guilty of lying about my virginity and was used to seduce him to turn him against Wolsey. It was never meant to go this far. He promised me things, he listened to me and respected me. How can a woman not want more when you have a man promising it all to you? I may have been a pawn in my families ambition but what I felt was real. I like to believe the passion we had was real.

Perhaps that's the problem, the more your passion burns the more dangerous It becomes. Passion is a powerful thing and it can be consuming. Henry consumed me and I almost burned for it.

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard a knock on my bedroom door, I turned around to see my brother enter the room with his pale faced wife Jane and my father. I immediately looked at George wondering why he dare bring that wench in here. My brother met my gaze and let out a sigh as if he could read my thoughts. The two men bowed as Jane curtsied showing me their respect. My father looked up meeting my gaze with a smile.

"Anne" He spoke walking forward taking my hands into his, I smile at him. "Papa, I'm glad to see you're well." I squeezed his hands lightly as he softly squeezed mine back, I looked over at George and Jane before moving my hands away. I let out a sigh as I knew the reason they were here was not to discuss my great accomplishment of birthing twin boys.

"I'm glad to see you are well too Anne" My father spoke and looked over at the door to be sure it was closed, he then looked around to see where he may find my ladies, I watched him carefully before reassuring him. "They are not here Papa, Henry came by and they left us alone." His shoulders dropped as he relaxed, nodding with approval.

"Are you going to tell me why you are all here or continue with this awkward silence? Also George perhaps you care to explain to me what your wife is doing here?" I asked, he sighed bowing his head as an apology "I am sorry Anne but after her families efforts to replace us, I can't trust her enough to leave her alone. After all the King still favours her..." he paused glaring at his wife, Jane sighed "Your Majesty, you must know it was not my intention at all to be apart of my father and brothers plan..." she spoke.

"Us women used for our own Fathers ambition...It's how I got here. I loved Henry, he made me the same promises I am sure he made to you too." I sat down leaning back in my seat, Jane was also a pawn just like me and just like me, charmed by his majesty's affection. "Henry is good at making you feel like you're a special woman, but I assure you. The only interest he ever had in you was your womb." Jane looked down seeming ashamed, she was still not innocent, her family talked about replacing me when I was pregnant with my 2nd son. However I understood it.

My Father sighed walking over, he clearly grew tired of this conversation. He had his thinking face on meaning he had his ambition hat on. "You have now provided the King two healthy boys, this does mean that your position is more secure. However it is still no hidden secret that the King no longer favours you the way he used to." He looked at Jane "It would appear he still has a soft spot for Jane. I suggest use this to our advantage." he added, I looked at him confsued "Please do not tell me you're implying I let his majesty take her as his mistress?" I asked. He looked at me disapproving of my unwillingness to corporate. "It is not like you have a say in the matter, if the King wishes to take her as a mistress he will. For all we know he already has. The good news is he won't seek to replace you anymore" he snapped back.

"So did you come all this way just tell me that Jane is to become his mistress or are you going somewhere with this?" I asked, he nodded before continuing "You need to try find a way to regain his affections. In time he will get Jane out of his system and eventually tire of her. Jane will keep him distracted in the meantime while you recover." He spoke, I furrowed my brows at him stunned that he still schemes now after everything that has happened.

"Haven't you paid any attention to anything that has happened this year? Have you not learned by now that your scheming has now put all of us in danger and can again?! we were lucky Father." I shouted, he looked at me angrily as George stood in silence. "I only told you to take him to your bed not to become Queen! May I also remind you that everything would have worked out if you provided an heir sooner!" He yelled back, I stood up furious.

"I GAVE HIM AN HEIR! I GAVE HIM ELIZABETH!" I shouted back, my father went silent. "I am the Queen of England. You forget who you are speaking with. I am YOUR Queen! You answer to me and respect me or by god I will give you something to fear." I spat. He looked at me "Anne..." he spoke but I cut him off immediately. "It's Majesty to you..." I corrected. "I almost lost everything because of you. From now on things will be my way. Not yours. " I spoke, he looked at me ready to argue but I stopped him again. "If you argue with me again, I swear to you father you will lose your head. A common topic me and Henry will sure to have a mutual interest in." I threatened "Do you understand?"

My father looked back at my brother and Jane as he stood there in silence, my father did not like to be belittled in front of people especially by a woman that was his own daughter. Perhaps I would regret this but I was tired of my Father's scheming as it only hurt those around us including me. All I knew was he would not let go of todays events easily and I risked making my father another enemy of mine...

My Father bowed and nodded. "Yes Your Majesty" he spoke, I nodded "Good, Now get out" I commanded and he obeyed. I let out a breath as soon as he left the room, as if I had been holding it in all this time.

George looked at me and smiled "You stood up to him" he laughed, I couldn't help but smile at George's amusement. He walked over taking my hand in his "That was brave sister." he smiled, I laughed slightly "Thank you George. "

George kissed my hand before giving me his warning "You must be careful Anne, You know our father and he does not take Kindly to those who threaten his power...despite him being disliked by the crown it is best you be careful." I nod in agreement. "I know George."

George was right, my father was also a very ambitious man just like my uncle. They were both manipulative and powerful in their own ways, It was true my father was now disliked by Henry ever since he discovered our dishonesty and the truth behind why we met but this did not make my father weak. I already have many enemies and to add another to that list would need to be handled with caution. I knew what my father was capable of, however If I knew one thing out of everything it was that his only weakness was underestimating me. He has no idea what I am capable of...

Authors Note:

Hey guys, I know this book has not been updated in 3 years. Truthfully I had a lot of personal issues and I began writing this when I was 17. I am now 20, so I was also finishing high school when I began to write this. You will also be aware of lockdown and for me that was when I lost my passion to write. My health and mental wellbeing decreased that I lost complete interest in anything I loved before. Then after lockdown I began to work and prioritise my health. I am awaiting surgery and doing much better now where I am genuinely happy. I am also going to be going back to college to do English to regain my passion for it. I still read during my time away so my love for books never once faltered. Your comments on this book and interest in it has made me want to write again and helped me find the courage to start back up again. I thank you for that, It has helped boost my confidence and driving me to keep writing this book for you.

I will try to continue this book for you guys as many of you have requested, I also hope that this is where my passion for writing will come back again. Truthfully I want to try come up with a more original idea but know this is difficult as almost everything has been done but more something with my own characters rather than doing fan fiction. I loved the Tudors and love the history of all of it. I fell in love with the story of Anne and Henry, the tragic love story that went down in flames. So I wanted to write a fan fiction book on an alternative life for Anne to give me and others who also felt Anne was wronged some closure.

Thank you for all your lovely comments that you guys have left over these last 3 years. I hope you still enjoy.
