(Blaise's POV)

Blaise walked into his sitting room with a tea tray where Pansy was laying comfortably on the couch. His stomach did something weird, but he chose to ignore it. Theo was sitting in one of the arm chairs reading the Daily profit.

"Theo, mate, why are you reading the profit? I thought you two came over to hang out," 'If Draco wasn't so busy all the time he might be here too.' He thought, rolling his eyes,

"Uh, you might want to look at this article mate," Said Theo, getting up and walking over to him.

He clapped him on the back and handed the newspaper to him. Right smack dab on the front was a picture of the one and only Draco Malfoy. He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"What did he do this time?" They both chuckled,

"Something quite amusing, and frankly, amazing," Pansy answered. She looked completely amused. Blaise looked down at the paper and started reading.

'The Boy Who Had No Choice.'

Ex Death-eater, auror, and owner of Malfoy's Vineyards, Draco Lucious Malfoy has long been questioned about his past involvement in you know who's reign for power. He has had incredible offers, including pockets full of galleons for just one interview with him. However, for unknown reasons, he has never consented to any of these. But today is our lucky day, because last night an anonymous reporter heard Mr. Malfoy arguing with the world class dancer, Darcy Barclay, his girlfriend of three months.

This anonymous reporter heard the entire argument and found out some shocking things. The entire encounter was altogether shocking but once you hear this you might just feel some sympathy for him.

The anonymous reporter even went as far as to say, "His speech brought tears to my eyes. At that moment, I realized that he was not an evil 'death eater', but a boy who had no choice. I felt the need to let the world know that Draco Malfoy is not all that bad."
This anonymous reporter even got the entire argument written down word for word,

"Darcy, I've told you that you can't wake me like that. I might accidentally actually hit you with a spell." Malfoy said after Barclay had woken him up in a very unsettling way. It is known to the survivors of the war that trauma is a very common thing, and one can only try to imagine what it was like being in the thick of it like the poor young Malfoy.

"Well, why do you shoot up like that?" Barclay responded rather rudely.

"I've explained this to you already. It's something I picked up from the war. I can't help it, why can't you understand that?" he snapped back, her having obviously struck a nerve. There has been some speculation lately if their relationship had been strained. This confirms this theory and makes us wonder. Why did the tension start?

"I would if you told me more!" Barclay yelled back,

"I have tried to! You just give me reasons for why it wasn't as bad as what other people had to go through! Do you know how hard it is for me to talk about all of it? I'll tell you everything that you want to know so badly! Do you know what its was like living with and abusive father? Be taught to hate people because of who they were born to even though you know it's wrong? Do you know what it was like trying constantly trying to please your father but failing at every turn? Being upstaged be someone constantly and knowing your going to be punished for it? Do you know what it was like being forced to be made a death eater when you were sixteen and given a task you knew you couldn't do? Knew you'd fail at? Do you know what it was like having the Dark Lord live in your own house? Have the cruciatis curse put on you every hour of the day? Do you know what it was like knowing that if you did one little thing wrong your parents could just be killed on the spot? Do you know what it was like to know that you were supposed to die all along as punishment to your father? Do you know what it's like watching everyone you grew up with die around you? Do you know what is was like knowing that you would have to kill someone, or watch everyone you love in your life get murdered right in front of you, then knowing you'll get killed right after?" Now this, lady's and gentlemen, is what we have been looking for. This heartbreaking speech from the young Malfoy is exactly what we have been wanting for years. A small glimpse into his tragic past.
