Small manga spoiler!
Looking determined, Genya marched towards the Butterfly Estate, where resided an injured [M/N]. Today was the day that Genya was going to come clean to [M/N], where he was going to tell him about his secret. That he ate Demons.
Okay, maybe not today, Genya second guessed himself. What if he finds it disgusting? What if he calls me a monster? W-what if he leaves me? All sorts of thoughts ran through his mind, not realizing that he was marching throughout the Butterfly Estate, in [M/N]'s direction.
"Genya?" A rough voice asked, bringing him out of his thoughts.
He had made it to the infirmary, right at [M/N]'s bed.
"Are you okay? You seem nervous." [M/N] placed his book down, and patted at his side on the bed, an invitation for Genya to sit down next to him.
And he did. He sat down, fidgeting with his fingers, a blush forming on his face.
"What is it darin?"
Swallowing hard, Genya steeled his nerves and started talking;
"You know how I can't use Breathing Styles?" [M/N] nodded. "Well, Himejima-san proposed something to me..." he stopped himself. How am I supposed to say it!? "Since I have a particular digestive system, he suggested that I eatdemonstogaintheirabilities." He finished his sentence in one breath, not looking at his lover.
Tilting his head, brows slightly furrowed in confusion, [M/N] spoke after a second of silence; "I'm sorry, darin, but I did not quite catch the end of your sentence."
Inhaling deeply, Genya looked into [M/N]'s eyes. "I eat Demons."
[M/N] blinked, opened his mouth, closed it, blinked again, and sighed. "So, that's what you were so worked up about." He smiled. "I understand your worry. I would have stressed out too, if I were in your position. But, you need to know that, I will always support you, through whatever you are and will be going through."
Genya's eyes prickled with tears, but he kept them in, not wanting to cry in front of his lover. "Thank you..." he whispered, headbutting [M/N]'s shoulder, trying to hide his face.
[M/N] raised his hand to run it through Genya's hair, gently rubbing his head. In a soft tone, he responded; "I love you."
