Fatima was wrapping up the tour with the girls and Melody complained about being hungry. If anyone knew anything, when Melody was ready to eat, there was only so much time to pass before she became irritable.
"So what do y'all think about this one?" Fatima asked about their tour at Georgia State University
"It's nice and all but I'm hungry soooo can we pick up the pace" Melody says
"Ummm I'm just ready to go visit some hbcus. I need to see more of my people" Mia says
"Your people?" Fatima ask laughing
"Yes! My people. Like I see the black people here but um..." Mia says looking around
"Mom nobody is going here just because you and dad went here" Melody says
"What about you Kelsey? Did you like the tour?" Fatima ask
"The school is nice but I don't know if I like it that much" she says laughing
"I'm trying to tell y'all GSU is where it's at but okay" Fatima playfully rolled her eyes
"I'm ready to go see Howard or North Carolina A & T" Mia says
"Or TSU" Melody says grinning with Kelsey
"Yeahhh" Kelsey says
"Have to coordinate with your father so we can go see it together. You sure you don't want to go look at Clark?" Fatima says
"Ma really? Did you not just see what happened with that school, the dorms flooding and people sleeping in their cars" Mia says
"Well that's why you're close to home, so you can sta-
"I'm not staying here" Mia says immediately
"You might change your mind" Fatima says
"No. I know for a FACT that I am not staying here. I don't want to stay at home" Mia says
"Even if-
"No mom. I'm not staying here. Get it out of your head" Mia says laughing as they approached the car and she got in.
They headed to an old spot that Fatima and Zac use to eat at for lunch.
Back in Cali with Zac. He just finished another meeting with a representative from the city and was wrapping up with Erin.
"So what you thinking? I know you didn't want to make any sudden moves but how you feeling now that you've seen it?" He asked
"Oh I'm down." Zac says
"For real?" Erin says " Just like that?" He ask
"Yeah I just need to know the plan and the timelines you have in mind. Plus I need to know if there is anyone else with there hands in on this shit" Zac says
"Just me you and Meech. Meech just invest, he doesn't do the contracting and building piece of it." Erin explained
"Speaking of Meech, I didn't know y'all knew eachother. Shits crazy how small the world is."Erin says
"Yeah went to college together" Zac tells him
"He mentioned your wife" Erin adds
"Yeah she dealt with him while we were in school. It's been years at this point, not sure why he felt the need to bring that up" Zac says
"You know some niggas can never let go of what they lost out on" Erin says
"Yeah well that ain't my problem buddy" Zac says with an honest chuckle.
