The night went by and the next day came. Fatima was rushing around the office as it was just hitting nine in the morning. She had came to the office pretty early while Zac seen the kids off to school and took Mason to his mother's.
She was dressed pretty casually only because she wasn't staying and needed to do some last minute important things before Mia's birthday trip. Her and Zac planned her 18th birthday trip to Jamaica, well Fatima did the planning and Zac had to approve it. Only because Mia originally wanted to go to Miami with her friends and without parents but he shut that down immediately, Fatima didn't even have the chance to open her mouth during that very brief conversation. Then she decided on Jamaica which Fatima and Zac were both hesitant about but they had to realize Mia was turning eighteen and clearly wanted to party. This wasn't their average family vacation where'd they shop, be tourist and eat good food.
While Fatima sat on the edge of her desk chair, focused into her laptop she heard Zac in the hallway. She shook her head at his loudness and only a few seconds later he opened the door.
"I can't believe you're in here with my sweatsuit on" was the first thing he said to her
"That's a crazy way to say good morning to your wife " Fatima says
"You literally was just hype saying you can't say I don't buy you nothing and now you got my shit on" he says imitating her in the closet just a few days ago when she went shopping randomly.
"You took too long to wear it" she says as she continued typing and he sucked his teeth
"I had a feeling. You knew what you were doing running out the house this morning at the crack ass of dawn" he says and she laughed.
"No actually, you knew I had to come here early. So there's that" Fatima says offering a quick smile
"How was getting out the house with Mason?" She asked after he leaned over her desk to kiss her.
Zac didn't respond and just looked at her. She didn't realize until she looked up at his face and bust out laughing. She already knew what that meant.
"That little nigga is getting out of hand" Zac stressed shaking his head
Lately Mason was a big struggle, first to get out of bed (after hours of fussing and fighting to go to sleep at night) and then to get out of the house. She knew it would be even worse if he didn't see his momma.
"Cried for you the entire time I got him dressed and then threw a fucking tantrum in the garage. Dont ask me about his clothes either" Zac says
"I laid everything-
"I just said don't ask" Zac says and Fatima shook her head while she closed one of her file cabinets
"My poor baby" she says
"No your poor husband" Zac corrects quickly
"This isn't your first rodeo baby daddy. You getting old huh, got a two year old running you"Fatima jokes
"It's your damn fault" he said and she eyed him "Anyways what time you getting out of here" he says looking down at his watch. "Don't you have an appointment?" He asked
"You came in here bad mouthing my baby and I'm getting distracted" she says "I'm leaving as soon as I finish this, she's coming to the house anyways I just needed to get a few more things sent out. I'll be finishing out some more contracts while she braiding and then I'm waiting for the planner to contact me to final everything for Mia's trip." She says
"Oh and speaking of Mia, that list of shit she asked for for her birthday?" He says with his eyes widened
"It's her eighteenth birthday Zac I think it's reasonable" Fatima says
