Once Fatima was finished with her meeting, she finally decided to check her phone as she walked back to her office. Of course it was lit up with notifications. She dropped her phone to her side and shook her head but she picked it back up to deal whatever was in her phone. She tried to return Mia's call but received no answer, the phone went straight to voicemail. She attempted to call Zac, he didn't answer either.
"What the hell" she mumbles becoming slightly frustrated.
She made it back to her office and was startled by Mia sitting on the couch silently just as she was opening her text messages.
"Mia what the hell, you scared me." she says catching her breath.
"What are you doing here, you're suppose to be at school" she says while placing down her laptop and phone on her desk. She looked at Mia and could tell something happened.
"What happened? Why'd you leave school?" She asked "They didn't even call me" she says quickly lifting her phone to check the notifications
"I left for safety" Mia simply said as she threw her legs on the couch to lay back
"You know I don't do these half ass answers, tell me what the hell happened. " Fatima sternly said
"Mom I had to fight that girl. I had to-
"What girl Mia?" Fatima asked
"Kelsey! She was doing all this talking around school threatening me, talking about she was going to beat my ass so I had to. Like you're not going to keep playing with me like that" Mia went off and Fatima allowed her to freely express. She just shook her head.
"Did they suspend you?" Fatima asked
"Nobody said anything to me, I just left." Mia says "I text you but you didn't respond, I wanted you to call me out but" she adds
"I was in a meeting Mia. Who would've thought you would choose today of all days-
"I don't even know why she choose today of all days. I walked into school and everybody had something to say about what Kelsey was going to do to Mia" Mia says as she declined her father's call for the second time. Fatima noticed.
"Why did you just decline his call? Call him back" Fatima says
"Nooo all he want to do is yell. I don't know what Melody told him" Mia says
"Mia- "Fatima says
"Mom" Mia says back to her
"We're not going to go back to you being disrespectful. You shouldn't be declining either one of our calls, now call him back" Fatima commanded and Mia blew her breath. Fatima looked her with a raised brow
"Blow it again. Call him back now" she said through her teeth and Mia did as told.
When Mia called, Zac immediately began to talk when he answered.
"Where the hell are you at?" Zac asked
"She's at the office with me. I called you" Fatima says before Mia could speak
"I've been calling her because she fucking hung up on me-
"No I did not!" Mia says loudly
"Fatima I'll be at the office in ten minutes" Zac says before he ended the call.
"I hope your daughter isn't with him. I swear I'm not with it" Mia says
"It's always something with y'all. Always" Fatima stressed
"It's her! Ever since Kelsey been around she acts like she doesn't have a mind of her own, like she's been acting soooo different. I swear she is and I don't like it" Mia expresses
