A Killers Mate

Chapter 22

Tiana's POV

       The ceremony is tomorrow, is all I can think about most of the day. I get dressed, getting ready for a day of training. It's pup checkup day, so I'm going to be a busy she-wolf. My head perks up when I hear Stella opening the door. "Yes ma'am?" I ask her as she walks in. "I just came to leave a note for Jackson, I'm going to let him sleep in today. He needs it." she tells me as she sets the note down on his nightstand. "He does, he has been panicking about the ceremony all week." I tell her as I slip my sneakers on. "I know he has; his father was the same way when we planned ours." she says with a smile. "You are going to be busy today I trust?" she asks me as we walk down the hall. "Yes, I am. It's checkup day so." we stop outside the office, and she looks at me with a smile.

       "You are going to be an amazing luna, Tiana." she tells me before going into Jackson's office, and I smile. Thank you, luna Stella. I think to myself as I walk to the pack doctor's office. I slip my coat on, only to find a not from the head doctor. "Dear Tiana, I had a small family emergency so I will be in later than normal. I trust you can handle things for a little while on your own. Best of luck, Tina" I read the note and I smile. She trusts me to do this. I ask myself when the first she-wolf walks in with her young son. "Oh, where is Tina?" she asks me, and I smile at her. "She had a small emergency to tend to so, I will be taking her place for a little while." I say as I slip the gray coat on that she left for me. "Now, let's get this little guy his checkup hm?" I ask him kneeling on the floor, and he nods his small little head at me.

       I got to sit for about 15 minutes total before Tina got back to the office. "I'm impressed." she tells me as she walks into the head office. "Thank you, it was hard work, but I have been doing well so far." I tell her. "Well, let's split the workload, shall we?" she asks me, and I smile at her. We worked well into the late afternoon. We close the office as only emergencies will be taken care of tomorrow.

       I make it to my and Jackson's room and I notice he is gone, but there are roses and a note on the bed waiting for me. "Good afternoon my love, I went with my mom into town to get some things for tomorrow. Don't worry as I already picked a dress for you if you don't mind. I ran you a hot bath and turned the warmer to the bathtub on so it would stay warm. There is a candle and a new book for you in there. I love you. Love, Jackson." I smile at the note, and I go off into the bathroom we share and after I slip out of my clothes I get into the warm bath.
