Jane brushed her hair about ten times and sighed. Her parents decided to make her and her sister go to an event that she obviously didn't want to go to.

She had a faint knock on her door, she turned to see her older sister.

"Hi Jan." She smiled, walking up to her and taking the brush, brushing her hair slowly.

"Where were you during my sorting..." Jane grumbled. She turned her head towards the mirror.

Kathryn smiled and shrugged, tying up her hair with a black ribbon. "Business. Somebody was being... well. Something."

Jane tilted her head turned to face her once she had finished. "What do you mean by something... Kat..."

Kathryn gave her a cheeky smile and turned her around on her seat. "None of your concern." She smiled.

"Kat...!" She groaned and turned around on her seat again. "Tell me. Now."

Kathryn narrowed her eyes and shrugged. "We're going with the Malfoy's." She smirked at Jane's horrified reaction.

"Why must we go with them! He was being extremely annoying, that's for sure."

"He's probably mad at you..." Kathryn said, applying gloss to her lips. "I mean... father stopped you from seeing him."

"Well. He blamed me for it didn't he." Jane grumbled, crossing her arms.

They heard a knock from the door.

"Go get the door Jane!" Her father yelled from the other room. Jane rolled her eyes and got up, opening the door.

"Malfoy."

"Jan. I mean... Seymour."

Jane smiled a bit at that. "No... hug?" She chuckled.

"Absolutely not." Draco said, crossing his arms.

"Oh hey Dray!" Kathryn appeared behind Jane, placing her hands on her shoulders.

"Hi Kat." Draco said, a small smile appearing. Jane felt a bit ticked off, because he was not holding a grudge against Kathryn.

"I just need to grab me and Jane a coat then we'll leave." Kathryn quickly ran upstairs to grab two jackets.

"You look nice. For once." Jane smiled, folding her arms.

"Well... I tend to look good when it matters." Draco responded, mimicking her action.

Jane tilted her head to the side, and Draco mirrored her action. Jane raised her eyebrow and he did the same.

"Here you go Jan." She gives Jane a jacket. Jane slips it on.

Draco sighs but glances at Jane, offering his arm. Jane blinks at his arm and giggles.

"Are you going to take it or not." Draco said in annoyance. Jane smiled and took his arm.

...

"Who is this all for?" Jane questioned.

"The Heathens. They're happy that their son is in the house they wanted." Draco responded. "You can let my arm go now..."

Jane blinked and nodded, taking her hands off his arm quickly. "So it's for Xavier?"

"Yeah the one you kept on clinging to." Draco rolled his eyes.

"To be honest. I wonder where he is now..." Jane left Draco's side, wondering in the crowd.

Kathryn appeared behind Draco. "You alright Dray?"

"Why wouldn't I be." Draco folded his arms, giving Kathryn a dirty.
