Aston got into the carriage and sat back as it headed to the Wintors manor. The family home was in their village and the tenants rented and lived on the land. The town was called Wintors as they owned it. The family was immensely wealthy.
Acres of land was fields of vegetation and fruits that fed many countries. The livestock were on the tables of many homes.
Thinking back at seeing Evel, Aston chuckled. He was happy to see her. She was still beautiful but even more so. She was always so tall growing up and at one point taller than him but was a heavyset child. She was now curvy but less heavyset and he towered over her.
She didn't seem pleased to see him but he figured it was cause he surprised her. He was a little upset seeing her just lying there propped under a tree with a book. And those three strange men that sized him up as he approached. He studied her and was surprised at his feelings. He did have a crush on her growing up but figured he'd outgrew that boyish crush.
Aston put his feelings aside before waking her.
Her piercing green eyes were out of focus before clearing. She was startled.
Their interaction amused Aston and he found she got a rise out of him which wasn't usual. Evel intrigued him.
Nathaniel spoke fondly, proudly and worriedly of his sister. She took after her grandfather's business sense.
Their other brother, the oldest, Earl Jonah Wintors, took over the family business while raising a family. His wife was Viscount Mason's daughter, Sophia Mason. They had four children, all boys and recently a girl.
Ashton was an only child and loved growing up with the Wintors. His mother was good friends with Lady Victoria Wintors.
They own some land in the Wintors town and also their own town was right next to the Wintors.
The carriage came to a stop and Aston stepped down. He had a word with his people that he traveled with, the driver and just a manservant. Heading up the stairs of the strawling home, he walked into the door after a word with the Wintors staffs guarding outside. He's visited before when he almost married into the family twice with the Wintors daughters, Lady Olivia and Lady Lillian. Both were now happily married. He was happy for them and most definitely approved their choice in husbands.
His arrival was announced once he was led to where those in the manor occupied. It was quite a walking distance .
