Getting comfortable in her favorite reading spot, Sanem smiled as she opened her book. Being an early bird meant that she got at least an hour or two where she could get lost in her books or just her thoughts before her busy day started.

Sighing slightly as she reread the romantic classic, Letters to Milena, her thoughts drifted to her own love life.

She was laser focused on her career but always felt a bit disappointed that love had failed her. Being top in her class at the prestigious Istanbul Modern Dans Okulu, Sanem had realized her dream of being a dancer.

From a little girl, she loved the ballet after a friend of her older sister Leyla, took them both to see Swan Lake one year but as she got older, she fell in love with modern dance.

Her parents didn't have the kind of money needed for her to attend dance classes until she was almost too old to start so she always felt like she was playing "catch-up" to the other students.

But she had a tenacity that propelled her forward year after year until she started exceeding all the instructor's expectations.

Now a part of a new modern dance troupe, The Movement Dance Group, she was thrilled to see her dreams come true. It would take awhile before they were recognized but Sanem knew what it was like to start at the bottom and work her way up. She had done it before and she would do everything she could to do it again.

Always having nervous energy plus an abundance of things she was passionate about, Sanem also loved writing children's books. She had tons of notebooks filled with ideas but had never really gotten serious about it. She loved making up stories about adventures that she would have loved to have taken as a child.

Her parents were the most hard working people she had ever known but the restaurant business usually meant long hours but not enough money for vacations and such. They sacrificed for many years for her to attend dance schools in Istanbul but when that became too much for them, she started modeling so that she could continue. She was fortunate enough that this afforded her a way to finish classes during high school and university.

So as a child, she went on wild adventures in her mind and in her books.

Her favorite types of books, of course, had to be the "happily ever after" fairy tales. Losing her smile, she thought about her own fairy tale that had ended the year before. She thought she had found her Prince Charming in Engin but she discovered a year or so into their relationship, that she was wrong.

Her parents tried to warn her that she was too young but she fell head over heels for Engin soon after they met. He had come to one of her school performances during her last year at the Dance School to see a friend perform and when they met afterwards at the reception for the event, there was an instant attraction.

She still couldn't believe that only after a few months into their whirlwind romance, Engin proposed. She accepted and they were so incredibly happy. Until that fateful day when he announced that his father had given him an opportunity to run the US offices of his advertising company and he really wanted to take the offer.
