Halsey
She slowly closed her eyes as Luke leaned in closer, she could feel his warm breathe tickling her lips before the soft skin brushed softly up against hers. Her heart was beating in her throat as she as about to finally close to small gap between the two of them, she could already taste his lips and feel them. This was it, this was the moment she;s been waiting for... but it ended when a loud sneeze echoed from the woods.
"Goddamnit Sam! You ruined their moment!" Cher's voice rang out from their spot in the woods.
Halsey's eyes glanced upwards and into Luke's. Heat slowly rose to her cheeks as she relized just how close to each other they really were. They were pretty much on top of each other. She quickly moved away from him and back to her spot on the picnic blanket as both Sam and Cher made their way over to the two of them in the middle of the field.
"Well, fancy seeing the two of you here." Cher said with a cute smile. She was trying to play off her outburst and Sam's loud sneee from moments ago, but Halsey could easily see right through the facade.
"I didn't know you that you knew about this field, Cher." Halsey said as she grabbed her drink and sipped at it.
"Oh, well a little birdy told me about this place so Sam and I decided to go out adventuring." Cher responded, her voice going up in pitch slightly, meaning that she was lying.
"So, what are you two love-birds doing all the way out in the middle of no where?" Sam questioned as he reached into the picnic basket and started helping himself to some of the food inside of it.
"Well, to be quite frank, we were just going on a little date." Luke mumbled in response, his brows coming together in slight annoyance as he watched both Sam and Cher's.
A mock look of shock came on to both Sam and Cher's face as the looked from the couple in front of them, to each other, and then back to Luke and Halsey.
"Oh, shit, sorry guys." Sam said nonchalantly as he continued to munch on the food he had taken.
"Didn't know you to had planned to come here tonight." Cher explained, her voice's pitch still a little too high to sound like she was telling the truth.
Halsey ran her hand through her dark hair, her teeth grazing the side of her cheek as she did her best to not chew at the soft sink, her face probably crossing with a bright expression of annoyance like Luke's. Luke had taken the time to plan this date out for the two of them, probably with a little help from Randy since he knows she loves this place so much, but still! And as much as she loves Cher, she's like her sister, and Sam she doesn't need them here, especially because they ruined their moment.
"Well we do, and it would be highly appreciated if we could, you know, keep having our date. Just the two of us." Halsey spoke, her voice finally showing her emotion of annoyance as she looked back and forth from Cher to Sam.
After a moment, Cher finally got the hint and silently stood up, grabbed Sam, and started dragging him away with her. Once the couple was no longer in ear-shot Halsey turned to Luke with a sympathetic expression on her face.
"I'm so, so sorry about that." She rushed out. "Usually Cher doesn't do things like this."
Luke wrapped an arm around her waist, his lips pulling upwards into a beautiful smile of reasurrance. "Don't sweat over this Halsey. I know how friends can be. How about we just act like none of that happened?"
Halsey nodded her head at the idea and cuddled herself into his side, a small sigh of relief escaping her lips. She couldnt be happier, despite the little interuption.
