My happy day was here again! Yay!
Its was laundry day yesterday. I got home early from a voice class to get ready to do what I love to do.
Now, I know most people hate doing laundry but you all know I am not most people in this matter. I do laundry every three or four days depending on so many factors that I already listed here in my diaries before so I don't want to hash them all again.
But to dilute those reasons to one particular important factor, its all because of my compulsive disorder of hating the sight of a hamper being even half filled. So while most people do their laundry weekly or twice a month, I do it more times than that. There was even a time when my OCD compelled me to do laundry every day and it was a tough week for Qing and his patience but we survived it so...yay again.
For more info about my compulsive disorders, you can all turn online to do research about basic knowledge on these disorders or ask a friendly doctor who knows these stuffs. I won't be able to explain it all to you, I'm sorry that you have to do your own research. All I can say in this matter is that there are many different types of disorder, don't box it all together. And each cases are different on others so, if you meet two people with OCD, chances are their habits and compulsions are world apart from each other.
Which is sad to think about but then again, we need to destigmatize compulsive disorders so speaking a little about it is, I think in general, a positive thing.
Anyways, like I said, its laundry day and I giddily got home to start the whole process. I was just surprised to see my husband home so early as well. He has classes and supposed to get home much later.
Me: (as I put down my things on the couch) Why are you here?
Qing: (drinking some water) Two of our classes were cancelled. Why do you seem upset that I am here?
Me: Because its Wednesday and you were supposed to come by 8pm. Not 4pm.
Qing: (sighing) Like I said, two of my classes were cancelled so I got home earlier. Like you, who seems happy to be home, I was excited too to go home to you. Except in my mind, I thought you will be happy to see me home early.
Me: (wincing) Well...sure, I am happy.
Qing: (chuckling evilly) Yeah, don't hurt yourself from lying too much.
Me: No! Really, I am happy that you are here. Welcome home.
I went to Qing so I can hug him and give his lips a sweet but chaste kiss. Then I deliberately blinked at him several times. Qing sighed.
Qing: What do you need?
Me: (grimacing) Can you...like...leave again? And come back later...say, 8pm-ish?
Qing: Jesus. You are inflexible.
Me: (whining) Qing! Its my laundry day. My happy day. And I already envisioned myself doing laundry without you around, with some music, and relax by myself. If you are here...my perfect vision of my happy laundry day will be...different?
Qing: You mean ruined.
Me: Thats your word.
Qing laughed. Gods he is a champ. How he can be patient on me like this is a wonder, truly.
Qing: Fine. I can leave and hang out with some friends. Do you want something? A treat? Do you want me to get dinner since you'll do laundry?
Me: Oh no. I...I also intend to cook dinner for us tonight.
That was also on my schedule and Qing should really not ruin it.
Qing: Really? Whats on the menu?
Me: Chicken and mushroom risotto.
