Annabeth left work and walked a little before smelling the new baked breads. That makes her a little hungry, just enough to enter the cafe. She sat down and started to study.
What does she study, you may ask? She studies architecture. Since she was a toddler, greek buildings fascinated her, and she wanted to make some of them. Something that could last forever.
Not only does she want to make weird-shaped things. No. She was inspired. She had a vision you can say. A building weird, strange, geometrical, spherical, all white, and with chandeliers hanging from the roof. The construction was almost like a really large ball with legs for support. But Annabeth didn't mind that. She was sure her plans were delightful.
So happy she was that she didn't realize that someone really special was sitting at her table.
- Hey Annabeth - Annabeth didn't answer - Heey Annabeth - Annabeth kept reading - Come on answer. It's me, Grover.
Finally, Annabeth answered and looked at him.
- Hi Grover, didn't see ya. Why you're here?
- Oh dear, for the stories I have to tell. I came here, mostly, to tell you about the magnificent, wonderful, and great quest in the underground tournament.
- I thought you didn't like the underground.
- I don't, but this isn't all the time underground. Sometimes we're above ground. It's awesome. So what do you think?
- Come on, Grover, I'm already so busy with college and exams and work.
- Annabeth, I've been your friend since you were 7. I know you. You are stressed. And even if we lose, I won't give a dam. I care about you. Also, I already paid.
- I guess I have to say yes. So you and me and Thalia or Luke?
- Well let's say I invited someone else.
- Then who is it? - I heard footsteps behind me and I turned -
- Me, wise girl.
Oh man was she mad that Grover invited him. But what was she gonna do, tell him no? He traveled all the way from Greece to USA just for her friends. He was the best. So even if she rather'd stay home, she felt like she had to accept.
- Okay Grover, but just this time. When do we leave?
- Right now.
So he started to walk towards the door, while Percy was screaming "Wait for me" or something like that.
We walked for about 30 minutes. Let me just say, the place was fantastic. A young lady welcomes you, I think her name is Ms. M. Then you pass to an elevator that takes you to the basement 3, and you have to go all the way up to floor 5. A challenge.
The B.3 was all almost the same. You had to evade the passengers (that were carton boards) in 1:30 minutes. Percy and Grover helped a lot. Percy made way in the right, Grover in the left and me in the front. We were unstoppable. At the end we needed to move like a spy to avoid lasers. All fine things considered, and we made it onto the next level.
