Halloween Night

Late at night on October 31st
You don't have to control your thirst
At this time of night, all the monsters come out
They want to make you run in terror, there is no doubt

Children everywhere wandering the streets
Ringing doorbells and saying "Trick or Treat!"
As loud as they can, they will speak
In the hopes of getting something good to eat

Carving Jack-o'-Lanterns and eating candy corn
Between which piece they should eat next, they are torn
But don't eat too much, their parents will warn
Lest their stomachs writhe in pain and scorn

Wolves will howl at the moon all night long
In a unique harmony all their own, they shall sing their song
Spooky creatures as far as the eye can see
Hiding in the bushes, around corners, or up in a tree

On this night they roam in the dark
This time of night is the spark
The scariest things always come out at night
In hopes of giving you such a fearsome fright
