THAT NIGHT JULIE LAYED AWAKE STARING AT THE cracked and chipped ceiling of her room. She was hoping to talk to Willy about what had happened earlier but he locked himself in his room and ignored her attempt to talk.

"Psst. Psst. Noodle!" She could hear Wonka whispering to the young girl. Julie scoffed lightly. So he can talk to her but not me? Julie thought to herself as a scowl made its way onto her face.

"What is it, Willy?" Julie heard the voice of Noodle. "Woah!" Julie sighed and rolled on her side, pulling her small pillow over her head to block out the noise.

Julie laid in her bed, listening to everyone join into the conversation, coming up with a plan to help Willy with his chocolate business. Did everyone just forget about me? Julie thought to herself, unaware of the longing looks a certain chocolatier is sending her window.

  ҉ ҉

As everyone spoke about the plan, Willy continued to stare at Julies window, hoping that the light would turn on and Julie would pop her head out the window. But as the conversation came to an end, there was no sign of Julie.

"She's still awake you know." Willy looked over at Noodle. "She doesn't sleep until she knows everyone else is sleeping. Go talk to her." Willy glanced back at Julies window before Noodle spoke up again. "Seriously, go talk to her. When she's silent something is wrong."

Willy nodded. "Goodnight Noodle."

"Goodnight Willy." Noodle disappeared, her light turning off soon after.

Julie groaned softly as a knock echoed through her room. "Who is it?" She asked as she sat up.

"It's me." She heard the voice of Willy through the door. Julie scoffed lightly.

"Go away." Julie told him before laying back down, pulling the blanket over her head. Julie let out a groan as the all the familiar door creak could be heard. "I told you to go away."

"Did I do something?" Willy asked quietly as he stared at Julie, who was still covered by the blanket.

"I don't know. Did you?" Julie asked him as she pulled the cover down and sat up. Willys eyebrows furrowed as he thought for a moment before shaking his head. Julie let out a sarcastic laugh as she glared at him. "So you didn't completely ignore me? And you didn't talk to everyone except me?" Willys eyes widened, how could he have not realized?

"I'm sorry, I didn't even realize." Willy apologized as he pulled up a desk chair next to the bed. "I didn't mean to ignore you. It's just, my mind was racing and-"

"You don't need to explain anything to me. I just wanted an apology." Julie interrupted him as she sat straight. She turned her body so she was sat on the edge of the bed. Willy nodded before Julie spoke again. "I, uh, I actually wanted to talk to you about something." Willy used his hands to motion for her to continue. "I wanted to talk about what happened earlier."

"I told you, he didn't do anything I couldn't han-" Willy stared speaking but Julie cut him off once again.

"That's not what I'm talking about." Julie sighed before rubbing her eyes. "I'm talking about what happened before that." Julie watched as Willys eyes widened. "Yes that moment." Julie told him as she saw his face morph into realization.

"Oh." Willy muttered quietly. "I don't really know what to say." Willy looked at his hands that were in his lap. The two of them were silent for a while before Julie looked at him.

"Look, if you want we can completely forget-"

"No!" Willy quickly looked up at Julie. "No. I don't want to forget about it."

"If he didn't stop us would we have...y'know?" Julie asked, Willy nodded silently. Julie could tell by the look on his face he was trying to search for her feelings about the situation. "Would you have regretted it?"

"No. Would you?"

"No." Julie told him with a shake of her head. "So, where do we go from this?"

"I'm not quite sure." Willy ran a hand down his face. "I don't know where we go from here, all I know is that I really like you."

"I really like you too." Julie softly smiled. Willy looked at her with a smile making her chuckle softly. "I would really like to see where this goes."

"Me too." Willy grinned. The two of them stared at eachother before Willy leaned forward a bit. Julie's eyes flicked down to his lips before looking back at his eyes. Julie copied Willys actions, slowly leaning forward until their lips were millimeters away from each other.

Julie closed her eyes and closed the space between them. As soon as their lips touched fireworks went off in both of their bodies. Willy smiled into the kiss while Julie's cheeks turned bright red. Sure she had kissed other people before, but none of them compared to this. Willy kissed her because he truly liked her, not like the boys who only went out with her because of her family name.

Julie leaned back, breaking the kiss due to the lack of oxygen. "Wow." Julie whispered as she stared at Willy who stared right back. "Promise?" Julie held out her pinky. She didn't have to say what she wanted him to promise for Willy to know.

"Promise." Willy smiled as he wrapped his pinky around her finger. Julie grinned before leaning forward and kissing him again, their pinky's still wrapped around eachother.
