12. EK KHOONI... OR NOT???!!!

It's been a week since she got her consciousness back. She was recovering really very fast and with time, Rajveer and Naina's bond started to grow bit by bit. But whenever she used to ask him about their first meeting, he would always change the subject carefully.

She was completely fine now and as per the plan, it was time for her to leave but he didn't want to let her go so, he kept making excuses to make her stay around him. Ruhaana could see that behavior of her brother and she felt that it won't be good for either of them as Rajveer was losing his control over his own decision of letting her go back in her own world. So, she decided to talk to him.

It was an early morning and Ruhaana knocked on his bedroom door. When he opened the door for her, she entered inside without saying anything to him. He felt odd about that so, he asked...

Rajveer (Confusingly) - Kya hua, Ruh? Tune aate hi aaj mujhse sawal karne shuru nahi kiye? Kya baat hai? Pareshan hai? Teri school ki chhutti hai kya aaj?

Ruhaana (Ignoring his questions) - Bhai, kya aap Naina Di ko kabhi nahi batayege ke vo yaha kaise aayi aur unka aur humara connection kaisa tha?

Rajveer (Averting his gaze) - Ruh, main...

Ruhaana (Cutting him in the middle) - Bhai, aap jaante ho na ke agar Naina Di ko kahi aur se pata chala to kya hoga? Ek to vo pehle se hi aapko pasand nahi karti thi aur ab aapka unhe ek aur hi nayi magar puri tarah se juthi kahaani sunana, isse vo hurt ho sakti hai. Jo bharosa shayad vo is waqt dikha rahi hai, vo future me na dikha paye aur aapse nafrat karne lage to? Unhe to yahi lagega na ke aapne unke emotions ka mzaak banaya?

Rajveer (Taking a deep breath frustratedly) - To aur kya karu main, Ruhaana? Pehle main puri tarah se taiyyar tha ke mujhe Naina ko mujhse dur bhejna padega but jaise jaise humari baat hoti gayi, meri himmat tutne lagi aur mera man badal gya.

Ruhaana (Astonishingly) - Are to sach batayiye na...!!! Atleast, unka man to tatolne ki koshish kariye. Pata lagayiye na ke kya chal raha hai unke dimaag me. Aise hi kuch assume karke beth jayege to kaise chalega, Bhaiyya...???!!!

Rajveer (Astonishingly) - Ye baat main usse puchhu ke uske dimaag me kya chal raha hai? We aren't exactly best of friends, Ruh...!!! Vo kya sochegi ke main kya karne ki koshish kar raha hu? Ki main kya samjhaane ki koshish kar raha hu use?

Ruhaana (Putting a hand over his shoulder) - Bhaiyya, unse baat to karie. Kya aapka zindagibhar unse juth bolne ka aur ek juthi zindagi jine ka plan hai? Unhe kabhi na kabhi to sab yaad aa hi jayega na?

They were just talking to each other and at that time, they heard Naina's scream. They hurriedly ran towards her room and entered inside without any second thoughts. When they entered inside, they saw Naina on her bed. She was trying to clean her hands while rubbing them vigorously. Seeing that, Rajveer and Ruhaana hurriedly sat on the either sides near her. When she saw them, she said...

Naina (Frantically to Rajveer) - Khoon... Khoon laga hai...!!!

Ruhaana (Confusingly) - Kaha hai khoon, Di?

Naina (Frantically) - Are tumhe mere haath pe dikhayi nahi de raha? Dekho na kitna khoon hai...!!!

Rajveer (Making her look at him) - Meri taraf dekho, Naina. Shant ho jao. Please, mujhe batao kya hua. Konse khoon ki baat kar rahi ho tum? Kaha hai khoon? Tum to thik ho fir...

Naina (Cutting him in the middle) - Tumhe dikhayi kyu nahi de raha, Rajveer? Mere haath pe khoon laga hai, dekho na...!!!

Rajveer (Trying to calm her down) - Okay... Okay... Khoon hai. Mujhe dikhayi de raha hai... But... Ye khoon hai kiska, Naina?

Naina (Hurriedly while crying a bit) - Usi aadmi ka ke jisne mere sath zabardasti karne ki koshish ki thi. Maine... Maine... Oh My God...!!! Maine use goli maar di. Maine kisiki jaan le li... (Holding his collar) Rajveer, maine kisiko maar diya. Tumne to mujhe bhi apni tarah bana diya... (Pushing him away angrily) EK KHOONI...!!! (With a sarcastic smile) Main ab ek khooni hu...!!!

Rajveer and Ruhaana were in complete shock. They never expected that. Ruhaana said...

Ruhaana (Still in shock) - You got your memories back...!!! Di aap...

Naina (Scooting away in fear) - Mere kareeb mat aana, Ruhaana. Varna meri asar tumpe bhi ho sakti hai. Tumne bhi agar meri tarah kisiko maar diya to?

Ruhaana (Begging her) - Di, please...!!! (To Rajveer) Bhai, kuch to boliye...!!! Di is not in her senses, Bhai. Please... Please... Please, kuch kariye...!!! Main doctor ko bulake lati hu.

She hurriedly exited the room and that's when Rajveer came back to his senses. He hurriedly sat beside her and she again tried to scoot away but he held her forearms tightly. She tried to break free while saying...

Naina (Trying to push him away) - Chhodo mujhe. Maine tumse pehle hi kaha tha ke main tumhari duniya se belong nahi karti. Maine kaha tha tumse ke mujhe tumhare sath nahi rehna, lekin tumne fir bhi mujhe ek prisoner banakar yaha rakha.

Na us din main Ruhaana ko bachane ki koshish karti aur na hi mere sath vo sab... (Shading tears while looking into his eyes) Main ab ek khooni hu...!!! Ye sab tumhari wajah se hua hai. Abhimanyu just wanted to take revenge on you out of spite holding me hostage. Uska plan Ruhaana ko leke jaana tha, taaki vo use... Use... But...

While saying that, she stopped struggling and started to cry bitterly while hugging him tightly. A few tears fell from his eyes. He started to caress her hair to calm her down. Naina said...

Naina (Hugging him) - Uska plan Ruhaana... Ruhaana ko... Vo use bechna... Bechna chahta tha. Vo mere sath bhi vahi... (Hugging him more tightly) Uske ek... Uske ek gang member ne mere sath... Mere sath... (Looking at Rajveer) Please... Please, mera... Mera yakin karo... Main... Main use... (Frantically nodding her head in negative) Main use nahi marna chahti thi. Magar he... He tried to touch me aur... Aur mujhe nahi pata ke... Us agle hi minute me maine kaise... (Crying while nodding her head negatively) Maine aaj tak... Main sachme use maarna nahi chahti thi, Rajveer. Please, mera bharosa karo...!!!

Rajveer (While caressing her hair with at most care) - Shh... Shh...!!! (With some tears) I know, Naina... I know that. I do believe you. I trust you, okay...!!! I know that because I can understand that...!!!
