What Goes Around
Age 5, I rode on training wheels. Age 10, I rode two wheels around the block. Age 20, I rode motorized wheels and won awards. Age 25, I rode a giant wheel while I kissed my love. And someday, I'll need training wheels again for the tiny feet I held.
Class-ick Shock
He hadn't seen anything like it in twenty years of teaching. The rats were doing geometry in class with the rest of his students. And the students didn't freak out in the slightest. So, I asked the class why they were so calm. They replied, "Ratatouille prepared us for this."
Sticks and Stones
Sticks and stones were his bones. At times, he broke under pressure. At others, he stood his ground. He was an interesting leader. But, if we were to make it home alive, those sticks needed to become trees and those stones into boulders. The galaxy has no place for weakness.
Ask Next Time
"Why did you throw it away!?" she yelled. "Why didn't you ask me first?"
"Honey," the step-mom cooed. "I can replace that dingy toy."
"No, you can't." A tear came down her face. "Inside it was every letter my sister sent before she died. And before I knew you, Margaret."
